Unacceptable Service (Hair in Beer) and Discrimination Experienced at Barracuda Taphouse from the staff person Chris and one of the security guy (Unfortunately, I don’t know his name).
Dear Barracuda Taphouse Management,
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service my friend and I received at your establishment in Coconut Grove, Miami, on January 26, 2024. Our experience was not only unpleasant but also deeply troubling due to the behavior of your staff.
Upon deciding to order a beer pitcher, we were taken aback by the bartender's approach. He rudely questioned our ability to afford it, which was embarrassing and entirely inappropriate. Such behavior is unacceptable in any customer service setting.
The situation worsened when we discovered a hair inside and outside the jug. Expecting a basic level of hygiene, we brought this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a simple replacement. Astonishingly, our complaint was met with outright denial and disrespect. The bartender dismissed our concern, refused to replace the pitcher, and insinuated that we were lying by discarding the evidence.
Further, the involvement of the bouncer, who supported the bartender's decision and asked us to leave, added to our distress. Not only was this a clear neglect of customer service, but it also felt like a case of racial discrimination, making us feel targeted and unwelcome.
Such treatment is not only a violation of hospitality standards but also raises health concerns, as foreign objects in food and drink pose a risk to customers. The refusal to acknowledge and rectify a genuine complaint reflects poorly on your establishment.
We expected a pleasant evening at Barracuda Taphouse but instead left feeling disrespected and discriminated against. I urge you to address this issue promptly to ensure no other customers experience such unacceptable service.

Very authentic tap bar. Beer was great, I loved that they serve flights.
The bouncer kicked out me and my friend from the outdoor tables because we had outside food even though we were trying to get drinks from inside. I have an autoimmune disorder so I can’t eat the food from this place, especially because it’s already pretty poor quality. There was no one else around on a Sunday evening but he still became aggressive towards me and my friend from the very start. I’ve also seen him hit on young college girls before even though he’s pushing 50 years old, and threatens lots of men saying they have fake IDs (including mine at 28 years old). Very poor management and overall atmosphere. Always feel uncomfortable here.
Great Dive bar in The Grove . Picnic bench seating outside encourages mingling - we’ve met some cool people here - its a down yo earth bar with a great choice of beers & plenty of outside seating where you can smoke once you dont litter . Great doorman very friendly. The great tunes are great and the bathrooms are clean. Its our ‘Go-to Bar’ in The Grove.
Very easy going, perfect to grab a bite and a drink. The food is good, it's a cheap and quick option. We go here anytime we fancy fish and chips or conch fritters. Good job!
Loved this tap room in Coconut Grove, amazing selection of beers, and really helpful server, the food was really good as well.

Only complaint was no prices advertised for drinks and no itemised bill , just a total cost.

List of beer was long yet lack lustered for the most part typical for a gastro pub didn’t look into food but atmosphere was decent picnic tables were nice I enjoyed my beer from New York in Florida. Interesting they’d allow that as an option.
Stopped by for lunch and was excited to try! You can play pool, just chill, or watch tv.
Lots of comfort foodie and beer options on tap. There’s about 50!
We got the snapper sandwich and the blackened mahi mahi on the grill, and then the bird road fries- SO GOOD! Definitely filling foods but enough to get your cravings in.
