This is my favorite Barnes & Noble to visit. They do a bunch of cute events like a book club they recently started where they pick one book a month and they set a time for everyone to go meet and discuss the book. But my favorite events they do are the midnight releases. I've been to two of them so far for Iron flame (second book to fourth wing) and crescent City three. So many people dress up and attend. It so much fun!
Disappointing Experience at Barnes & Noble
As a longtime member and avid reader, I recently visited Barnes & Noble, only to find my experience marred by disappointment. Despite driving nearly an hour to reach the store, I encountered several issues that left me questioning the value of my membership.
Firstly, the closure of the only Barnes & Noble in Aventura was a significant inconvenience, particularly for loyal customers like myself who rely on the store for their literary and collectible needs.
While browsing, I couldn't help but notice that some books and collectibles were priced higher compared to other retailers like Target. This price discrepancy was particularly frustrating, especially considering the investment I've made in my Barnes & Noble membership.
When I inquired about price matching, I was informed that Barnes & Noble only matches prices with their own website, limiting customers' ability to secure the best deal possible. This policy felt outdated and failed to acknowledge the competitive landscape of modern retail.
Furthermore, the lack of competitive pricing became even more apparent when I realized that I had previously purchased the same book for a lower price at the airport. This inconsistency in pricing further eroded my confidence in Barnes & Noble's pricing policies.
Overall, my recent experience at Barnes & Noble left much to be desired. While I appreciate the brand's commitment to fostering a love of reading and providing a diverse selection of books and collectibles, the lack of competitive pricing and inconvenient store closures detracted from what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience. As a loyal customer, I hope to see improvements that reflect Barnes & Noble's dedication to customer satisfaction and value.
Great Experience! One of the workers, Mia, was extremely helpful! She was so nice and caring and gave me plenty or recommendations for the genre I was looking for. The place is so welcoming and sweet I loved it!
The Barnes and Noble format has changed but still a wonderful place to take some time for yourself and find an interesting read or hobby. The staff is amazing here. Super helpful and professional.
I’d love this place if there were any outlets to charge laptops. It’s a great environment to take your child to have fun reading. But you can’t stay for too long due to the lack of outlets
The cashier girl Mia is such an amazing employee! Honestly she was super sweet and made my experience so wonderful! She should get a raise!
The lady at the front register, Mia (red hair: wears glasses), needs retraining! I know she is a cashier and does not work at customer service. However, she needs to do better when talking to all customers. She was very condescending and dismissive!
This place is great for those who love reading! I have been here many times and always have interesting selection of books and if you want it, you can have a member card where they give you points and discounts with each purchase.
I’m a Stephen King fan and here I always find new ways to enjoy myself with this and other authors.
Oh! And here there’s a coffee section, so feel free to buy a book and then sit and read!
