First time at this restaurant. First impression a nice Portuguese restaurant which was smaller than I thought but had a nice vibe. I’ll post some pictures so you can see. They seemed to have a wall with a large wine selection. I had a sparkling moscato which was delicious. The staff seemed friendly maybe family run service was a little slow I’m guessing maybe short staffed. The menus seemed rather pricey but we all enjoyed are meals. Each plate was a good portion. We had pork and little necks it came with 4 little necks, lamb chops, beef cooked for 6 hours it did have some fat on it but seemed to melt off as you ate it. Beans and Chourico dish which was also flavorful but seemed more like a side dish than an entree to me. Overall I liked the atmosphere and food but difficult if your on a budget. Also they served bread and butter and cheese and bread both with a charge. What I wasn’t a fan of was the water they served us it tasted fine but the bottle was $8.00 which we only found out about on the bill.
Food was excellent and service was great. Our table ordered a variety of entrees including the grilled octopus and Barca steak. All were cooked to perfection! We will definitely return and sample more of the menu.
Parking was challenging. We ordered appetizers, dinner & drinks. When we received the bill we realized we were charged $8 for water, who does that? We would have brought our own. Our first time here. I thought the atmosphere was relaxing. Food was good. Our waiter was attentive. Not a place I would return to any time soon....... Price was reasonable.
Just left BarCa, and my wife and I were very impressed. The restaurant offers one of (if not) the best wine list we’ve ever seen. The owner is an absolute class act, and runs a beautiful restaurant. We highly recommend it. Cheers!
Small restaurant with some of the best authentic Portuguese food. Stuff your grandparents made! Couldn't believe how good the food was. Perfect portions, wonderful presentation and flavorful sauces just the whole package. Very personable staff. The cook even came out to help serve the food. Very clean modern space. Definitely will return!
It’s been so hard to find Francesinha in America and I was so excited to finally find a place with it! The ambiance here is super cute and the menus are even beautiful. There’s a second menu on the board near the bar that has Francesinha (they listed it as the Barca Sandwich) and it’s good though it’s different. The egg was in the center of the sandwich rather than on top but the yolk was perfect. Sauce was different but good. The cheese they used on top was American cheese which I would normally not want but it was good and the price for it was super reasonable! Definitely great for the cost.
Wine choices were good. They pour them at the table for you.
A lot of the comments that are on here are pretty true. There was a long wait. No one was here except for us and some people at the bar. One online order came in for a pick up and the food still took about half an hour to come out. TVs we’re on at the bar and there was no music on in the dining area when we were here. The mashed seemed to be boxed kind. They charged a couple bucks for a basket of bread BUT the bread was great and fluffy and warm so it was worth it.
The restrooms were clean, the set up was great. There was even candy near the exit as a little treat to end the meal.
I had a great date regardless and would definitely come back.
Embarking on a culinary journey at Barca was nothing short of extraordinary! From the first step through the door, I was enveloped in the authentic essence of a Portuguese eatery. The cozy, inviting ambiance complemented the rich, flavorful dishes perfectly. I was particularly enamored with the succulent salmon served with perfectly boiled potatoes!
The staff exuded warmth and hospitality, enhancing the overall charm of this hidden gem.
Barca is undeniably my go-to spot for authentic Portuguese cuisine in Fall River, and it truly deserves more recognition.
A must-visit for anyone yearning for a genuine taste of Portugal's culinary treasures!
We had a really lovely Sunday family lunch at Barca. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to dessert. Favorites were the fresh cheese appetizer, octopus a lagareiro, and rice pudding. This is a fresh, clean, modern restaurant with an authentic menu like you’d find in Portugal. The service was great - attentive yet leisurely. We will return many times!
