Best WLM Reviews
So this was our first visit here and we enjoyed it. The view was beautiful! The drinks were enjoyable and the food was flavorful! This is definitely tapas style dining, so if you are hungry, it may not be enough. However, my party and I tend to have rather large appetite and the serving amount was just right. Every dish was robust with flavor. My favorite was the octopus dish followed by the mussels. We also enjoyed their lemonade blend cocktail. The view alone made for an incredible afternoon. Perfect to celebrate any occasion, or a sweet date spot.
Caleb was awesome and his service was great! The food was good from the stuffed peppers, shrimp, beef tenderloin and croquettes.
Setting is gorgeous! We had beautiful weather and the scenery along the water was wonderful. Our server was pleasant, but not anything to write home about. The food was really pretty good. The slices of cucumber were excellent. But the entire time I was eating it, I kept thinking it was double (if not triple) the price it should’ve been. I the steak was also very good, but again a tiny little pile for $22!?! I can get a better deal in Napa Valley. The empanadas were just fine. The scallops were excellent. Three of them on the plate with a good sauce. Overall, good food, but exponentially more expensive than it should’ve been. Not worth the cost when there are tons of other options out there to try.
Baraca has the best view in Old Town with even better food! Love tapas style so we were able to try several dishes that were packed with flavor. Our favorites were the patatas bravas, beef kebab and beef tenderloin. I was able to try Jamon Iberico De Bellota for the first time which was delightful.
The outdoor area is enclosed with heaters so it’s perfect even in the middle of winter.
Management and servers are great who will ensure that guests have an amazing experience. We can’t wait to go back during the summer!
We just had a few cocktails (no food) here on a cold, windy Sunday morning but this restaurant had an outside place off the pier (across from the main, indoor restaurant), which had outside heaters and a plastic enclosure around the bar and some tables. I got the Lemon Drench (lemon vodka drink, tart but the sugar rim offsets it) and it was amazingly delicious!! Our friends had whiskey and beer. The service was great and the scenery was gorgeous.
Fantastic views of Washington DC and the river however the food was terrible. The stuffed dates tasted strange. The seared ahi tuna did not taste fresh. The potatoes bravas were OK. The butternut squash was the only good thing we ate. Would not recommend the you eat here…
We went to spend a dinner with friends and it was really nice.
The food was good, nothing crazy but good product. The only default on the food was desserts. We try all the dessert and it was ok.
The service was good, little slow at some point but not too bad. We had 1 default and it was the champagne who was not cold at all.
Overall it was correct and we had a good moment
Great tapas spot in Alexandria! Right on the water, food came out super fast, our waitress was excellent. Portions run a bit small so we had to order more food, but we were very happy with everything we got. Wine was good too! Will definitely be back :)
