Perfect shape! I have cut my own hair for 12 years, this is the first person I've trusted to do it. Eric did a great job and completely met my expectations! He just trimmed the dead ends and cleaned up the shape so it has a nice V. (Red shirt is before pic, green is after.)

THIS IS A BARBER SCHOOL!!!!! Ask about who will be cutting your hair!!! Point blank…no where was it mentioned when I scheduled my appt that this is a barber school. When I arrived I wasn’t even going to stay…but I was in a bind and needed a little temple fade and line up. The young man was nice and courteous and did his best…which is what I expect from a student. What I didn’t expect was to be charged $40 something dollars. I pay $40 normally for a licensed barber to give me a precision haircut. The cut I received was less then great…and wasn’t even check by the “instructor” I didn’t want to go back and forth about my uneven taper or the botchy fade and lines of demarcation in my cut…I just came home and fixed it to where it was acceptable. Anyway…good luck on your barber exam young man
Eric (owner) was very unprofessional.
It was my second time visiting this barbershop and I had a wonderful experience previously with Chris.
Unfortunately, Eric, the owner lost a customer.
Chris was kindly asking my kids how did the first week of school went and were they both excited for the upcoming birthday party.
He then paused to speak with me regarding the price changes and began to mention their different prices since it was after 3:30pm, again, I'm brand new and had a great experience previously.
Chris mentioned that prices were greatly different than from 3 weeks ago and he said let me speak with Eric.
**** I have a great deal of respect for businesses, staff, and services they provide to the community. I'm a very respectful person ****
If a grown man tells another grown man look at me don't look at him this will escalate into a situation. At this point that was enough. In such a short time this went from 0-100. Very unprofessional on the owners part.
Eric, approached the situation, as though I was asking for hand-out. He acted out of spite and in a matter of seconds he took the conversation to a point that I somehow had an issue with his prices. I wasn't going to disrespect Chris or the owner in their place of business. He attempted to quickly spin the situation to something I was not going to entertain. Not a professional place.
This man is the real deal! Has so many years under his belt training folks and certifying them to Barber then now he is taking a step back, taking on a very select few barbers that are already elite and making them legendary. This man is the real deal, old school family man, remembers your kids names, talking from the time you walk in to when you leave with a handshake and a hug.
Good to see you Sir!
I'll see ya Friday????????
First, know this is a review based on character and consistency. The character is in the name of the shop “Seventeen” as its meaning is significant and has its own story. Consistency is what the shop represents and what you will receive when you book a service. Hands down, one of the best barbers in the metro area…Respect “E” ????
Eric and his son are master barbers. Best kept secret in town!
Kind and friendly staff that work with you. They are working on their skills so sometimes can take some patience and curbing expectations but overall I would go again.
I had a previous appointment that was canceled due to an employee leaving on less than positive terms. Never got contacted to reschedule my haircut. Called back and made my appointment with Eric; he was a gentleman. When I arrived he was not the barber who cut my hair. The stylist who did was kind but seemed inexperienced. Had to coach the stylist through my own haircut, the fade was ok (good thing I get a fresh one every two weeks), had to touch it up myself at home. For $28 and the hour it took to do a fade I expected it to be clean at the least, there was plenty of room for improvement, disappointed.
