Sonny just completed major clutch and transmission work on our ‘87 Alfa Quadrifoglio and did it in a timely and professional manner. Absolutely the most trustworthy, honest and skilled mechanic in the region, no exception. As a woman, having a great "car guy" to work on your car is tremendously important. Sonny has worked on a Ford Escape, very old Volvo wagon and aging Prius for us, and we will never go anywhere else. Exemplary auto care and truly honest owner!!

These guys are amazing. There I was, parked illegally and standing in the pouring rain on 18th St, when my car wouldn't start. Panicked, I ran over to Barber's and Sonny came to my rescue! He had a charge box (I think that's what he called it), which got it going for a minute, but ultimately he ended up replacing the negative charge cable so he could get the battery to keep a charge again. Sonny is now my hero and a pillar of good customer service. Thank you, Sonny! I will tell everyone I know in Sacramento how awesome you guys are!

Finally acquired my dream — a 1965 Falcon Ranchero. I chose Barber Shop Automotive because I’d read good things about the work done be there. I was hoping they could recommend a shop where I could take my ‘Chero. To my surprise, Frank said THEY could fix it and would be happy to do it. Sonny and Frank treated me like an old friend and assured me they could rebuild my carb, and they were honored to have my baby’s carcentrusted to them. When they called the next day to tell me it was finished, I was surprised and delighted. The cost was less than I expected, plus they adjusted my brakes after test-driving it, and suggested the next couple days f things I could do to the car. Now my baby runs like a dream with no more gasoline smell, and I have no doubt where I’m taking my car whenever I need any work done from now on! Thanks, guys!
