12/10 AMAZING! It’s such a nice little place and you can tell they really care about their quality and their customers! We had an absolutely wonderful experience definitely recommend!
We had a breakfast lunch and dinner burger, a seafood platter and a chicken tender kids meal and it was all amazing!
The only thing keeping me from giving this a five star is
the coffee. It is not good. But The food is fabulous.! Biscuits and gravy were unbelievable! It has that homemade touch. And everything came to the table nice and hot, which I really appreciate Service is great. The people couldn’t be nicer. And they are decorated cute for Easter.
I like trying different diners, especially for breakfast. I was in the Ruskin area and decided to check this place out. I ordered the Kountry Boy breakfast (not misspelled). It came with two eggs, two sausage patties, two strips of bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a side. It was more than I could possibly eat. More importantly, it tasted great. Both the bacon and sausage patties tasted better than the average diner's. The prices were fair, and I had great service, too.
Clams strips not good. Wish I could get my money back. Now I have to find something else for dinner. Service good food not so much
Cute inside, clean ,friendly staff,great food. Gave us free piece of pie and 10% off. Because they were busy in the kitchen Has become our go to restaurants, great value. Have been there, many many times, Margaret is the best !! Home made, no Sysco or US foods here. Like mom made and better, specials every day, if you dislike this place, there is just no pleasing you !!!! New note, they added BBQ ribs on Thursday, baby backs, the best I have had in Florida at a very reasonable $15 price, quality food and even better service and a owner on site !! It does not get much better
I have enjoye Barbara's 3 times now. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is adorably decorated and very clean. The staff are incredibly nice, always taking extra care of my 90 year old Mom, which always gets extra points in my book. These are all bonuses to the wonderful food. I've enjoyed breakfast and lunch twice (burgers both time because they're so delicious). The food is made to order, fresh and delicious. For an extra treat, order some onion rings. i watched them slice the onions, and dip them in batter... can't get fresher than that. They did not have that greasy taste of most onion rings. Prices are very reasonable as well. Give Barbara's a try.... you won't regret it!
My husband and I came here for breakfast. He ordered ham steal and eggs $13.99 and I ordered the classic breakfast..$10.99. Absolutely disgusting..greasy home fries. Under cooked toast..and for $13.99 for a thin slice of ham..we won't be back..service was slow..she didn't even come back to ask how everything was...absolutely horrible coffee too
We loved our lunch at Barbara’s Family Restaurant, we were allowed to bring our service dog inside, which is huge considering the extreme heat outside. She laid well under the table and enjoyed watching all the people.
I really enjoyed my French Dip sandwich, with the perfect amount of cheese on a perfectly toasted bun. It was so big I took some home.
My husband had the veggie omelet with hash browns.
The service was just right and the atmosphere was lively. We saw all ages enjoying a variety of good looking food.
My husband can’t wait until next time to try the thick onion rings he saw being served at the next booth. This is a picture of only half my French Dip sandwich with fries.
