I enjoyed going to barbecue heaven for my first time. I ordered A large rib tip dinner with 2 sides.
Baked beans and macaroni and cheese and sweet potato pie . Now I will say.I enjoy eating The food. But for 29.99 for a small tray with more bones then meat. Hmm I think it definitely was my last time too.
Always loved this place since I was a kid. It had never let me down. Haven't eaten here in 22 years so I will update you on the quality of the food. Congratulations to 71 years in business. The sides have lost their touch the Mac and cheese was bland the baked beans came straight out the can the green beans are ok. But the BBQ turkey ribs were on point. Tighten up yall.

This is my favorite BBQ place in Indianapolis. The people working there are very friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing. The Rib tips are fantastic, and the BBQ on a Bun(pulled pork sandwich) is great for a quick easy lunch. The sides they offer are also delicious, and you can wrap up the meal with a great slice of sweet potato pie. I highly recommend this spot for people that want to support small businesses, but also still get a great meal at affordable prices.
A 71-year old icon on the Indianapolis BBQ restaurant scene. Wide array of BBQ choices (rib tips, chicken, pork chops, combo) all prepared to go. Very friendly, helpful service in an old fashioned neighborhood place. We took our order to a nearby park, but there’s a side deck where customers can dine. We discovered Bar-B-Que Heaven on our way to the Indianapolis Art Museum at Newfields, what a find on our first-time visit to Indianapolis! If you want a BBQ meal to remember, Bar-B-Que Heaven is a must stop.
When we say everything on the menus good we mean it
Small place and nice service. But I had gotten the turkey ribs and the sauce was horrible and my meat wasn't fully cooked. And they bake beans was pork n bean and they was hard. I'm assuming it's because it was a rush.
Cashier had an issue with cc machine and started barking "CASH ONLY" as a greeting to everyone that came in restaurant. It was unpleasant and rudely unprofessional. Also they are very stingy with their sauce forcing you to pay extra for a sufficient amount. The meat was cooked well and tender but it had A LOT of fat. Not sure if I'll return.
