Picked up the regular bread with pork and charcoal bread with chicken and a Vietnamese coffee first words were WOW it was delicious the bread was nice and soft everything was amazing!
Was craving banh mi for breakfast and remembered this hidden gem in Stanton. Ordered five different banh mis for myself and the family online (Vegetarian, Special, Pork Roll, Eggs N' Spam, and the chicken). Food came out pretty quickly and was still hot when I got there to pick it up. Service was friendly and good. The banh mis were still fresh and hot when I got home. Overall, all of the banh mis tasted great! The bread itself was fresh, ingredients were flavorful and we enjoyed them very much. The one thing I will say is in the future, I will be asking for light mayo on all of the banh mis. While it was the normal amount you would expect on a banh mi, it still felt like a bit much.

Finally got to visit this place! My Facebook feed has been nagging me for 3 days! I ordered a Crispy Belly banh mi on a charcoal baguette. The service was really great, no problems with ordering (spoke the same language, English). The place was clean (inside), outside is a whole other story. This section of Beach Boulevard is notorious for homelessness. The banh mi itself was underwhelming; it was good but the charcoal baguette seems to have an aftertaste. The crispy belly was not crispy but the veggies inside were. The banh mi was a little steep too, over $8 but nowadays everything pretty much is!
This is my favorite place to get banh mi. They have a crispy pork one that is DELICIOUS and I haven't found anything else like it. The man who I always helps me is very nice, and remembered me when I came back months after I moved away from the area. Highly recommend, I wish I still lived near there just so I could have Banh Mi Belly banh mi.
Being Vietnamese and growing up in little Saigon it's nice to see more Viet businesses branch out to other parts of the OC. I never saw black Banh mi and have seen squid ink buns in asia, so thought I tried it. You don't taste anything different with the black buns but I loved that they toasted the Banh mi and the feelings were delicious and even the pickled veggies didn't smell too strong.
Coffee was also thick and creamy and I loved it. They take card too. Only thing was waiting area was super warm from the Banh mi ovens.
I came back the second time to tell the owner the meat he served last time was old. I gave him a chance to make it good this time. Today the bread is days old. It all fell apart when I bite it.
I don’t recommend this store! There are much better stores just a few minutes driving away
Had a pork belly banh mi with extra pate and a Vietnamese iced coffee at 8 am. The bread was crispy and fresh; the pork belly had a delightful chewy rind that I will be back for, and the pate had a buttery subtone. The iced coffee was creamy and sweet. Service was prompt and friendly. The only minus was that it was expensive (compared to the banh mi I was used to in SGV). Will be back!
The Lee's sandwich drive through just closed. Will come here for early morning breakfast from now on.
