We enjoyed our time having dinner at Balqees restaurant. The food was so delicious and beautifully served. The owner, Anis, was so friendly, generous, and kind. He welcomed us with outstanding hospitality and explained to us the varieties of meals they serve. My family loved the food we had and the time we spent in the restaurant.

II liked the flavors of the food and the hot bread! Sampled the lamb broth soup and it was nice! I got the chicken and my friend got the shredded bubbling hot lamb. Both tasty! Need to come back to try other dishes for sure! Servers were pleasant and answered any questions about the Yemen culture as it was my first time eating Yemeni food! I liked it here!
Don’t know how I just found out about this gem. Food quality, quantity, service are excellent compared to the most famous one in Dearborn that has become ridiculously expensive.
So went yesterday on a very busy day and they were clearly understaffed and overworked but the girls kept on smiling working as fast as they could while fasting. They kept on apologizing. Please be respectful and patient.
The soup was spicy and little which is perfect for my taste so was the Dakous dressing. Meeting cooked to perfection and not too much fat like other places. Highly recommend this place
