Best WLM Reviews
Cool, old school baseball themed diner. Came here with my grandmother on the way back from DC to PA.
Was a much welcome sight. I liked their menu and enjoyed trying their liver & onion.
My grandmother had their surf and turf, a crab cake and Hamburg steak. However, the steak was over cooked to well done despite the medium rare request. The rest of the meal was enjoyable. Vegetable sides dishes were a bit over cooked and slightly bland.
Fries were extremely on point.
All said and done would recommend coming for for a quick bite while passing through.
I really wanted to like this place as I'm a huge fan of supporting local (see my many other positive posts). Unfortunately, the servers were rude to each other right in front of me and the food was mediocre at best. I tried to message the management to tell them about what I witnessed with the servers and they ignored me. I don't plan on returning.
Place seemed dirty. Stuff was all over the wall where the condiments were. My husband ordered a Belgium waffle to go along with his omelet meal and was charged $8.95, that's ridiculous. When I asked about it she told me that was correct. Very disappointed.
I'm visit this place anytime I'm in town from Dallas. The atmosphere and the food are the main attractions. Our last visit was excellent, as usual. We chose a table and were greeted immediately so we could place drink orders. There's so much to look at while you're there, I love to take my time. I ordered a custom omellete which came with potatoes and pre-buttered toast. It was another memorable breakfast and I look forward to coming back.
What a gem of a restaurant I can't say enough good things about this place. It was so welcoming and warm. The food was tasty and prices are not bad. If you go be sure to try their homemade dessert. I had the crab melt which priced at market rate was still very affordable at $12.95
Second time here in the last year. Good food, good service. I had the crab cake sandwich and for Maryland where you expect good crab cakes it was very good. I am not into sports but if you are into baseball this is the bar for you.
The sandwiches (ham and turkey club and hamburger) we had were delicious! The homemade brownie and cheesecake were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Everyone was so very friendly!
Some points: they took about 15 minutes to help us. Pasta was overcooked and tomato sauce was flavorless. Veal was dry and the included salad never came. The menu indicated that the sandwich included a pickle but was served without.
