Jason has worked on three of my cars for past 4-5 years. All work is done very well, and price is fair. I never feel like I'm getting an upsell for un-needed work - he just identifies the problem, gives me the price, then knocks it out with no surprises. If he sees something else that is a concern, I get a quick call and we can talk through the issue and the proposed solution. Will keep going back.
I am not one to normally leave reviews but Jason definitely deserves one along with his mechanic Justin. I went to him back in early August by recommendation of an acquaintance who happens to cut my son’s hair. Just so happened on the day I took him for a haircut my car was at a local dealership (the one that’s here to wow ya!) because I was having issues with my steering that was progressively getting worse with time. The dealer dropped me off for the appointment and after they called me to inform me of the cost of the repair….. I was told about Jason’s shop. I was told by this dealer that my warranty that I pay for each month would not cover this part (I have this warranty because I can not afford to have a costly repair bill). I was even told that I should get rid of the warranty because it is not worth the money I pay for it. The part they were talking about is my steering column which would cost pretty much $3000 and more than this with the fees that they like to add in. I was in shock and called the warranty company the next morning to cancel my policy because I could not afford to pay for a warranty as well as a high credit card bill. The lady I spoke to asked that I please not do this. She said please just go to a mom and pop shop and she was sure it would work out. After hearing this I knew I had to think about it (I have had nothing but bad mechanics and I really got to the point I did trust any of them because I had been taken advantage of. They took my money and left me with a car that still needed to be repaired). I decided to give Balance Performance a try. I WAS SO STRESSED OUT! A BIG BILL! ANOTHER UNTRUSTWORTHY MECHANIC! GREAT HERE WE GO AGAIN! I met Jason that day went to his shop. He called the warranty company on speakerphone and within a couple of minutes was told the part was covered. My bill just went from over $3000 to $100 ($300 if you count the $200 that the dealer charged just to look at it…. which I was ok with thinking the warranty would kick in and cover it!) Jason I can not thank you and Justin enough! If I went with that dealer I would be without my warranty that brings me peace of mind and a large amount on a credit card that would take me forever to pay for. The car is doing great with the work that was performed and I am hoping my hunt for a mechanic is over because you guys really WOWED me! Thank you for actually fixing the problem and thank you for not taking advantage of your customers ❤️
Had to have an evap canister and purge valve replaced in order to pass emissions on my son's car. Jason and his crew were awesome. Not only did they see me the same day I called, they made the repairs that same day too. Not something I was expecting, but much appreciated. AND....they even took it to get the emissions done! That's a first for me! I can certainly recommend them to anyone. Great auto repair services at great prices. Will most certainly use Jason and his team again.
Jason did an inspection on my Spec Miata. He and his employee came to my location at the time he said he would arrive. He did the inspection and even gave me some advice that would help my car cool better. Excellent service would recommend to anyone.
I resend my previous review. I contacted this business back in DECEMBER. Gave them money upfront because I was told the job can be done quick and easy no problem (which was a huge mistake on my part). It is now APRIL, my car is still not complete, nothing has even been worked on. I have given Jason $4,000 and have heard nothing but excuses as to why it cannot be done. At this point I am done with this bs and am prepared to seek legal action if I do not receive a refund or complete the job. He has promised he can work on it next week. I do not trust his word which is why I have decided to turn to social media. If he’s able to follow through I will gladly take my post down.
