Best WLM Reviews
After reading some of the reviews. I decided I had to say, I have no idea why people are saying the food is not good/awful. I definitely agree that finding Mexican food that is really good is hard to find. That’s why I’m going to say this. I’ve been to Baja, two times with a friend and we always sit at the bar. We have never had a problem with the service, but I can’t speak for what’s going on in the dining room. I had dinner last night at the bar. It’s my second time coming here last night. I had the chimichanga dinner. Absolutely delicious. Just not the chicken chimichanga. But also, refried beans, the guacamole, the chips and salsa. Basically what I’m trying to say. Delicious. I asked about how they made the guacamole. It’s homemade right along with the Tortillas. I’ve been to Mexico so many times. The first thing that came to mind is that I was right back there, because everything is so fresh and authentic. Also, have to give Cherie Our bartender two thumbs up. The margarita was so good. Probably too good. I would really like to get feedback from anyone that finds themselves in Hoboken looking for really good Mexican food. If I lived in Hoboken , I probably be there a little too much. Not just for the food but also the vibe of the atmosphere.
The service here was surprisingly slow on a Friday night. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and then another 40 minutes to get our food. The tables are also pretty close together so there wasn't much room to move around. The chips were inconsistent, with some of them being soft/soggy. The steak, rice, and guacamole are all incredible here. The chicken was pretty good, but I liked the steak better. The shrimp needed more seasoning. Portion sizes are very large here and the drinks were tasty. Overall, there are some great options but I wish the service was faster.
The food is ~3-4, not horrible but not that good either. The guac is the best part, the rest is, meh. Horrible service.
Friends and I are visiting from out of town and celebrated Cinco de Mayo here. We had a great time!! The owner and staff were very welcoming and the food was great!!! Definitely recommended!!!
My worst experience ever was at this restaurant. The food tasted awful, and coming all the way from Boston, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone in the area. They took forever to bring the check, and their attitude changed when we asked them to remove the tortilla soup, which tasted terrible. To top it off, the server spilled all our drinks near the tree next to us, which was utterly disgusting.
Fantastic expirience. Would recommend. The margaritas were to die for!
The food is absolutely delicious, so flavorful. The bar tenders are on point with drinks. I love the whole atmosphere and music. It’s a good spot to go with a group of friends, like we did or on a cute date night. Great area and definitely won’t break your wallet. Must try the deserts after your meals!
Came here for the first time and we loved it. Definitely will come back again.
The food was fresh and hot. Our server was sooo pleasant. We asked for their hottest hot sauce and she was nice enough to bring a milder version. That was the best because we could t handle the hottest ????
We had two special margarita. A fajita a camarones and a chicken fajita. The chicken fajita was a generous portion. Shrimp fajita was reasonable.
Love that it came with guacamole and beans
Very reasonably priced. Two drinks and two entrees tax and tips for two is under $80.
