We stopped here for lunch around 11:20 on 3/14 while waiting for our flight. The line was a bit long, but it moved fast. The servers were very entertaining, and treated guests like family. They were very friendly and helpful. We ordered chips and queso to share. The queso was nice and warm and creamy, and the chips were crisp, not oily, and seasoned well. The tacos were surprisingly fantastic for airport fast food! My steak was still tender and juicy. The corn tortillas were warm and soft, and the veggies were fresh and crispy. The chicken tacos were similarly wonderful, with the chicken tender and well seasoned. Overall, we enjoyed our quick lunch, and we had a good time.
Surprisingly, tasty food for an airport restaurant. I tried their Mexicano Burrito with hot salsa in it. The portion size was big, and the flavors were pretty good. It came all hot and juicy. I also tried their Chicken Nachos. The only down part about the nacho that they put very little of guacamole on it, so I had to pay for some extra. The lady at the register was friendly and helped me carry the drinks since they were out of the drink carrier. Prices are high but expected since it located inside of an airport.
Passing thru here I was in mood for a good fish taco. I stopped in and ordered a Wahoo fish taco. I was told from the associate they only had shimp made and I would have to wait for fish if thats what I wanted. Seemed odd - it was almost like they were not waiting to have to take the time to cook me some fish for my taco. Anyway I told them I wanted wahoo fish, and was happy to wait. Ordered the combo because a 2 taco combo was cheaper than 2 a la carte tacos only - which was also strange. Anyway when my order came out the food was actually pretty tasty but my wahoo fish tacos were just basic ole boring grilled fish tacos. I though wahoo meant they would be battered and fried; but maybe I was mistaken. Anyway the food was decent - but I certainly would never order the wahoo fish tacos again. They were flooded in guacamole so much so that it was all I could taste. This section of the airport has a few other choices and next time I think I will go next door to California Pizza kitchen instead if I am not pressed for time. If time is a issue I will be heading a short walk away to Port Authority sandwiches. But if you have to have Mexican food this place is okay but don't expected to be wowed by the overall taste and product.
Best breakfast at an airport ever! Most places offer breakfast sandwiches...this is a huge breakfast! I added corn tortillas & sliced avocado & I was stuffed! I even shared my bacon with my hubby <- now that’s a miracle in itself. This place is small, no seating but it’s worth it! Lots of protein & a full belly for a 4 hr flight & one happy customer.

Service? I stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes while the women working, changed out breakfast to lunch. She was nasty, nasty rude and spoke to me like I was nothing but and inconvenience. I ended up walking away, never did get a chance to order. They need to replace her, she was miserable and it was apparent she doesn't like her job. I guess if that's the face you want running your business, it'll be run into the ground.
You need to hire better employees. The lazy old white cook in the back shouting “GO TO CHILLIs” as me and another Latina lady were in line at 4pm a whole hour prior to close. The fat lady with glasses on the prep line throwing a fit when I asked for 2 Mexicano burritos. I told her not to worry about it and I took my business elsewhere. Those 2 need to go and find a job they like. They can’t be treating their customers like garbage just because they hate their job.
Don't waste your time and money.
I ordered food here, Friday January 12 at 12:45 pm, before my flight. Tortilla press lady was ok, next lady acted put out. As I'm watching her put tacos together, I request cheese. She keeps saying that she already put cheese on the taco when she didn't, then said she put lettuce when she didn't. She then waited until the end of my requests and put both on...what a weirdo. I did not want them in the order she apparently insisted on! Then lady at the register puts my order in a bag. I leave to walk way away and discover I have NO utensils and I have rice and beans. Now I'm agitated that I have to walk all the way back after sitting down and removing my jacket. I go up to the register lady and say "you didn't put utensils in my bag". She says that she never puts utensils in an order of tacos. I said I also have rice and beans! She repeats that she doesn't put utensils in taco orders. What an idiot. I will never return. I've always enjoyed the brand but these bad apples tarnish the reputation in general. As if air travel isn't stressful enough already ????
01/21/22: I was walking around Terminal 1 before my flight and got some Baja Fresh for dinner. I got the steak taco combo with flour tortilla, onions, cilantro and sides of pinto beans and rice. The rice was bland, dry, and flavorless. The pinto beans were ok and much better than. The rice. The steak tacos were also ok in flavor, but was a little over cooked and salty. For airport food, Baja Fresh was fast and below average. Just wish there was better food choices at this airport, specifically Terminal 1.
