They closed due to a fire... Can't wait until they reopen on June 15th. I've been going here since 2001 when I was in 9th grade. Sorry to say but there's no other place to go until they reopen.
This bagel shop has been a special place in my life... Hopefully everyone is fine after the fire.
Currently here because I couldn’t wait to type this, I absolutely LOVE EVERYTHING HERE. Whenever I dine in I take to go as well. The only place I wanna be for bagels and fast service as well all workers on point ????????
So good! It was my first time trying an NYC bagel and its a must have! I had a dill tuna with lettuce and tomato on an everything bagel and wow! So delicious, it was really fresh. We also had hot chocolate as it was very cold. So much variety to offer as well!!!!
Stumbled upon this bakery while staying at the Marriott. So glad I did. The bagels were everything. The smears were all so unique and delicious. Great friendly employees. Loved this place!
The bagels are so damn good!! Came in 2/21 at night craving a bagel with tuna and the gentleman made it right away. It was so so tasty and they have the strawberry cookies I’ve been looking for. It’s been decades since I’ve been able to get my hands on them. This is definitely now one of my favorite bagel spots.
The old man owner basically told me that I could leave at my own convenience because of their mistake. They messed up my order and this happens every single morning anytime I come in the morning shift. All the workers are not focused and they do do whatever they want and they don’t listen to instructions, and it doesn’t fail every single time I order something in the AM it is always a mistake or a mess up. The atmosphere of the AM shift is terrible. I will only come back here at night time the boss had the audacity to say that he’s banning me for basically nothing. YOU CANT BANN ME FOR YOUR MISTAKE. I did not raid my voice until I was disrespected in from of everyone. All I did was point out his mistake respectfully and he didn’t even offer to change my sandwich until I had to point it out to him completely ridiculous. I’ve been coming here since I was six years old and I never thought to be treated like this, and I hope that if the bosses son John reads this, he knows exactly who I am every time he sees me. He treats me with lots of respect, but the father himself is, a disrespectful & obnoxious man who takes zero accountability for his business and his employees. As a business owner myself this is purely unacceptable
Food here is awesome. No wonder it is the word-of-mouth best in the area. People need to realize that between the rep, the quality, and location it is going to be busy. Honestly the only bad thing about this place is the other customers not appreciating that it takes a few minutes to get excellent food. There are so many great places to get food in Queens that some people are spoiled. If they travel a bit they will realize how good we have it.
The absolute best bagels you can get, especially fresh out of the oven. This place has been a staple of my weekend visits out to LI, and I can’t imagine a weekend without a warm bagel with cream cheese. Always well staffed and efficient, this is the place to go.
