I had high hopes for this one. Sadly the experience fell short. Service seemed off. Started by only getting 2 menus for our entire party. We ordered the Bavarian Pretzel and it came out as two small frozen microwaved pretzels that were rock hard, with one dip, nothing like what is advertised on the menu or online. When we inquired the waitress made a comment about not knowing if they no longer have that one, but we pointed out the table beside us had one. Someone else eventually delivered us the correct Bavarian Pretzel with 3 dips after our entrees were almost gone. No apologies or explanations. I think the service issue may have to do with not having a dedicated waiter/waitress. There were 3 that would come by the table and not know if the other had taken an order or drinks, or if we had been given a bill. They were attentive, but it just seemed service was disorganized. I enjoyed the patio, but did not enjoy the tables of people around us smoking cigarettes. I guess that's our mistake not understanding the laws maybe? The other patios in the area did not allow smoking, so we were surprised to see that. There is also a waterway that runs behind the patio which you will likely see some boats pass by.
My wife and I tried the place out as a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. My wife had the BLT and I had the Ruben. The food was great and the service matched perfectly. The drinks were affordable and had a nice punch too (the perfect combo). They had live music going and a nice little sports bar vibe going on. A great place to grab a bite or hang out and watch the game with a couple drinks.
My only complaint is the booths are a little tight (my wife is 7 month pregnant) so we sat at the table by the entrance with the Wicked Weed sign and it was sooo bright I couldn't even see her; it was blinding).
Pizza was Amazing! We got the 16in "Meat Head". Hot Buffalo Wings are actually HOT ???? like they should be but too hot (most places don't get anywhere close on the scoville scale). Get place to meet people while watching a game.
Backyard Sports is one of my favorite restaurants and bars in this area...the friendly service and food is excellent...great menu and cocktails...always a great crowd...large screen TV inside along with many others and a nice large outdoor deck with tvs and seats along the waterway with a beautiful view...definitely a great experience...
Food was very good, especially the lettuce wraps. Good portions. We ate on the deck overlooking the intercostal, had a guy playing guitar who was pretty decent. Wasn't too expensive for Myrtle Beach. Service was a little slow getting started, but they were pretty busy with two bartenders serving a packed bar plus 10 tables at least. We will be back for sure.
Great location on the Intra Coastal Waterway. We sat outside on the large deck and they had LIVE music playing which is always appreciated.
They didn't have the best selection of beers on tap, UT they do offer several more in cans and serve them in cold glasses.
We went during happy hour and the prices were fantastic. Food tasted very good and we had a wide array of food. One of us had a salad, one had the pulled pork sandwich, we had the fried pickles and also the boneless wings. All very good
Service lacked a bit as we never were offered another drink even though we both wanted a 2nd beverage. I do believe this to be just bad timing as they had just finished a large rush of customers as we were arriving and maybe didn't get the best service because of that. Otherwise, I would absolutely come here again and I do recommend it for both locals (like myself) or visitors alike.

We stopped there on our way back to Myrtle beach from a dolphin cruise during March madness. We were shocked at this hidden gem! The atmosphere of this place is so cool with lounge chairs and so many TV’s! The live music on the back deck is an extra special touch! I should also mention when we walked in, I had quite a few questions for them as someone in our group had an allergy. A man behind the bar was so helpful and took the time like I was the only customer to help get the answers I needed for food ingredients. They were quite busy but we wouldn’t have known in how quick our food was. Highly recommend!
