Best WLM Reviews

Great location for happy hour! Food was really good - especially the Korean sticky ribs and wings! Ambiance was fun with the outdoor backyard vibe and there are TONS of TVs. Definitely recommend the house margarita (you can get it iced vs frozen). Sat at the bar and had great service - there were tons of workers staying attentive!
Seriously this is all you have? This was the worst experience! We have been waiting for this place to open up, and although it looks fun and organized, it is not. Juliet did her best, but given the circumstances of the kitchen, being so far away from our table and even the bar was not an easy access for her. Our drinks were weak and our food experience sucked! hamburger got a one star, my arugula salad was warm and the plate was hot. It was like sitting on the heat lamp too long. We also ordered cauliflower and it came basically a totally different description than what the men said it was like a half of a small pizza with a ton of arugula on it also disappointing. this fourscore game was so loud we thought that shots were being fired. All the TVs were so loud we couldn’t even have a conversation. It was extremely windy and there and then when they finally close the garage doors, then it started to get very cold, very fast, the air conditioning was going full blast. Everyone in our party was extremely disappointed and we will probably not venture back there anytime soon.
I JUST CAN’T
The food was a bit overpriced on the regular menu but the happy hour menu was great! Good portions and very good food. Bar Burger is smaller than the regular burgers but that left room to enjoy nachos and ribs.
I saw others getting salads and they looked great.
The service was slow but not inattentive. So if you’re in a hurry, you might want to pass. But if you’re up for hanging out and enjoying the vibes, this is a great choice.
Our waitress Vanessa was a very nice lady! As they weren't fully open, which meant limited food menu. The grand openings not for a couple of days. The bar was having issues finding things to make an Old Fashioned. The first round of old fashioned took about 15 minutes after ordering to get to the table. They said they were having issues finding the oranges and also finding where the cherries were located. We also did order fries and then ordered their potato skins.
I gave them four out of five stars because I'm excited to go back once they have their grand opening and once I get everything in order it has the potential to be a wonderful place to just grab a drink grab some food and hang out.
Dogs are welcome, which was very nice to see. I would say during the time we were there, we had seen probably 10 dogs.
They had a live band, but the music was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation without yelling. I believe that will change over time and only get better.
Dropped by with a friend and was a little skeptical of the reviews but decided to give this place a chance. Very nice out door style seating here with plenty of room, multiple bars, gaming areas and a stage for live music. They even have a grass area where you can sit down and bring your dogs. When we first walked in we were created and seated quite quickly. We had sat down and our waitress Marissa took our order. She did an excellent job and got us our drinks quickly and put our food order in. The food came out fast and was overall good but not out of this world spectacular. The service was great and kudos to Marissa for making this a great overall experience! Thank you & will be back again!
We attended the Grand Opening on Thursday March 14th. The lace was packed, but the service was excellent. The crowd was age diversified from Kids up through "mature adults". There was staff everywhere, so they planned well for the launch. I hope they can maintain this level of service going forward. There was a limited menu, but the variety was good. We had Wings (hot), Potato skins and the Backyard Burger. The wings were cooked well and tasty. A crunchy exterior with tender interior. There was just enough sauce, however I felt the hot sauce was more medium. The potato skins were interesting, topped with shredded braised short rib in a Guinness Gravy. We enjoyed the Backyard Burger with roasted Jalapeno, crispy onions and Gruyere. It is a smash style burger so don't look for any pink in the meat. Very good! Can't wait to come back on a "regular" night with a full menu. I saw a couple reviews related to food not being up to par, but they have corrected this as of the 14th. Give them a try!
Fun place for a great indoor/outdoor sports bar. The atmosphere and vibe were on point. The food, on the other hand, was VERY disappointing. Small menu and the food was lacking. Our waitress seemed annoyed the entire time. There are tons of TVs for games. I hope they expand their menu.
Backyard hang out with friends, but make it indoors
All of us locals have been awaiting the opening of The Backyard at Desert Ridge. We've watched it rebrand from the old Sandbar to this new bigger building right off Tatum, plus their marketing has been pretty good. Now it is here and has opened to some disappointment and bad reviews. It was heavily marketed as a place to bring your dogs, but that area has been behind in constructi and so only service dogs are allowed currently. The menu is still limited as well, so there is lots of room for improvement when they release the full menu. I still have hope that they will work out the kinks, and it will become a fun local spot.
I reserved online a couple of weeks in advance for a party of eight. It's nice that they allowed to book that many whereas lots of restaurants allow to book up to only 5 without calling. The problem is that when I realized more were joining our party, I tried calling for 3 days in a row to change the reservation, but no one ever answered. They did get us seated right away, with no issue adding 3 more to our party. With 11 of us, we probably should have had two servers or one a bit more dedicated to a large group. I enjoyed my burger and fries, and although I didn't ask how everyone else enjoyed their food, I do think it all looked pretty good. The drink menu for their specialty drinks is pretty gimmicky and full of sugary choices.
When our party was done, a few of us stayed behind and moved over to the bar and enjoyed a few more beverages. It is pretty loud in there, but to be fair, we went on a rainy evening, so all of the roll-up glass doors were closed, which didn't help with volume. There were a few yard games scattered around and quite a few tvs all over, including some extra extra large ones hanging overhead. There were a few receipt discrepancies that had to be worked out, and I have seen many reviews claiming the same issue.
So again, there are quite a few things to improve on, and I really hope they do because this will be a fun spot. I would definitely feel comfortable bringing my family with two young kids and not having to worry about them being loud or rambunctious. This will be a fun spot for friends to meet up or families to hang out.
