This place is excellent. Cheap drinks, delicious food. Bar type atmosphere. Came here for the poutine, not on menu, not sure why not, they do an awesome job with it.
Great food I had a Bacon cheese burger, the Bacon was crispy just the way I like it. Good my food in good time even though it was busy. Food got served faster then expected. The service was great got my drinks in a timely manner and the bartender was great.
Came in around 7pm on a Tuesday with my mom, dad, and 8yo daughter. Lots of other families there too. My dad and I had the beef brisket dip, definitely add the FRESH onion tanglers and BACON! OH-MY-GAWD! SO GOOD! Mom loved her chicken strips and kiddo loved her walleye strips! We all enjoyed the FRESH & PLENTIFUL salad bar. They play a free game of Queen of Hearts on Tuesdays at 8pm for a pot of $ or gift card depending on what you draw. Had a really great night! Thank you, Backwoods!
Great food! Beef was so tender, choice of cheese on the Philly (I chose Gouda), and Homemade Potato Chips!
Our party of four were out ATVing the trails and stopped in to have lunch. This restaurant has always been our halfway stop and today like before was alway a pleasure. The place is sparkling clean and inviting. Our hostess, Kayley, served up our beer and delicious food with her gracious hospitality. I also like to mention the restaurant is very pro military with a special memorial to our veterans in the outside bar. Love this place.
Tucked in the woods off the atv/snowmobiles trails & back roads. A nice place to stop in and take a break & grab so good food. Open floor plan pool table/darts & outdoor patio with law games. Knotty pine with the space for big groups to gather & relax or watch catch the game on big the screen TV's. Backwoods offer a wide range of food = appetizers, frozen pizza's, prime rib, BBQ, shrimp, & broasted chicken.
They have Bemidji Brewing's German Blonde among the tap & full bar selection. Also offering Off-Sale!

We stopped for lunch, the food was great and portions huge! Try the pickle poppers and curds, they were awesome! Very close to parking area so that you could haul ATV's and go riding. Had a big outdoor seating area as well.
Had the fried chicken and they allowed me all dark meat which was nice. One of the sides was the salad bar which was excellent. The dinner rolls were amazing. Super friendly bar tender. Had pull tabs and the game on tv while I waited for my food. All in all a great experience
