Back Inn Time is my absolute favorite place to stay when I travel to Kentucky. The owner is Verda Mae and she is genuinely the most friendly person I have ever met. She makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed in her house that you will not ever want to stay anywhere else.
I have been staying here for many years when I come into town to visit family. The very comfortable and feels private. Rooms are clean, they have wi-fi, private bathrooms in every room, even a jacuzzi bathtub in one of the rooms. They do not have "breakfast" per say, but there is coffee, tea, cereal, milk, fruit, and sometime they put out fresh baked goods, and they are yummy. TV's are not the newer flat screens, but we don't watch much TV anyhow as we are busy visiting. And the owner, she is very sweet and makes you feel right at home. Give them a try, we did, and we keep going back!!
We live about 3 hrs south of here and really wanted to hear the Steel Woods in Alexandria. However they didn't start performing until 9:30pm....so we didn't want to drive back home that late.
We waited until the last minute to find a motel room and as luck goes we couldn't find anything....
But actually this time luck was good... because we found this small, beautiful Inn.
The owners our just lovely. It was like going to Grandma's house!!!
Clean, fresh homemade goodies on the table!!! Just wonderful.
The bed was comfortable but as I almost always say,... I wish it had a few more pillows.
Other than that... Perfect.... Highly recommend over a motel!!!
Quaint B&B. Rooms were clean and had private baths. WiFi was good. Each room has its own AC wall unit.
Bring your own shampoos. Breakfast is an assortment of cereals. One baked good item was also available.
It is a beautiful, spotless home. The rooms are furnished with nice older furniture...I can not think of anyplace else that is this nice except maybe in Lexington or Cincy. It is so nice to have your family(and extended family) sit in the living room or around the dining table....or even out on the from torch.....Why do you need to see the hostess? It felt like it was just me and my family in the big home....and they left tons of food for us to eat.
I thought that the inn keepers were very friendly, and the rooms were beautiful and immaculate. Also, we had no problem with breakfast. There was cereal, coffee, and milk. Also, I took fruit with me and could use the refrigerator.
Wonderful host and beautiful home. Very clean and historic. 5 minutes from Kincaid Lake. We stayed in room 1 and pics are posted. Loved it.
Worst B&B that I have ever stayed in. Cash only and check in was the only time I saw the owner. Breakfast consisted of 4 boxes of cold cereal and a muffin. The town is lackluster and everything closes at 9 PM. I was not impressed and will never go back there.
