A great little restaurant bar in Carlisle. The food is really good & the staff is friendly. Their place is really small & seating is very limited so keep that in mind.
The smoke is prevalent in the meats! Great pulled pork and seasoned fries! Hottest BBQ (if requested) in the state! Sounds like ingredients for an award winning SmokeHouse! Employees are ALWAYS friendly. Thanks Back Alley!
This place is soooo good! Some of the best around ! A must try ! Very nice people and good food!
Overall good. Had the brisket Reuben and it was fantastic, meat had great flavor. Spouse got the BA Special, said the meat was good on that-was supposed to be 1/2 lb brisket and 1/2 lb pork which I think is precook weight. The jalapeno corn had a kick of heat, but was just corn and peppers in like a milk sauce-needed cheese or creaminess. Not a lot of meat/meat platters options, more burgers on the menu. Honey bourbon sauce was good.
This place it's great. It's not huge, but very popular. Their smoked meat is very flavorful. The pulled pork was tender and juicy, however, their brisket was tough. The brisket had great flavor and the server apologized for the toughness. She offered to serve me more pulled pork and invited me to come back and try their brisket.
I will definitely be back!
I live nearby but this is the first time I've been here. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. I got the burger with pork belly on top. My only criticism was there wasn't very much pork belly. Service and location were great, nice staff and relaxing small town restaurant. I'll be going back soon.
I have lived in Hartford for 3 years and have not yet had the pleasure of eating here! I'm so glad I stopped today. I had the smoked wings with the chipotle bbq sauce on the side and the pickle fries (special app. Not on the menu!) Definitely will be back! Great food, friendly atmosphere!
I was astounded at how delicious the BBQ sandwich was, how tasty, and how much meat piled onto the bread. I don't even like bbq. But this place smells wonderful to enter, and the sandwich I ate was amazing. Very tiny place, but the owner told me he was expanding to include the shop area next door, so that should up his business.
I highly recommend this charming eatery.
