Visited for Thanksgiving with high hopes. Reservation was for 2:45pm, and not seated until 3:15pm. Once seated, the drink order was not taken for almost 10 minutes, and getting coffee refills after that was like pulling teeth. Trisha (the server) was pleasant enough, but seemed overloaded or distracted covering 3 tables. The Popovers were lovely on the outside, but very doughy on the inside, and appeared to be undercooked. Left most of it on the plate, and the waitress Trisha never asked why. Had requested the prime rib to be medium well, and it arrived very pink, and oozing some blood. After finally being able to get Trisha's attention, she took it back to the kitchen, and returned with a much more desirable piece. Finally came to the dessert, which was a choice of pumpkin or Apple pie. They were sugary as if store-bought, and ended the meal with disappointment. For the cost of $124 with tip, we stepped away feeling we had not gotten our money's worth, and would not plan on returning. I hope other patrons had a different experience, and stepped away satisfied.
We were here for a wedding reception and I can't say enough about how wonderful everything was. Staff were amazing and the food was delicious and what amazing ambiance! Loved it!
The food was excellent, a little pricey so be ready for it. It was busy so the service was a little slow but the atmosphere was nice.
First time here. Came in for the with my family for Mother's Day Dinner Buffet.
Our server Mitchell was amazing!! He was very attentive! All the staff were on point & very friendly.
The food was well seasoned & looked beautiful!
The whole time we were there, we didn't feel rushed nor did it feel chaotic. Very well organized! My Mother loved it!
Ate here on May 18th. Menu has changed. Now have to pay for poppers. Table for 6. Two of our orders were incorrect. Pork chop was not very good.. their new sauce for the Chop lacked flavor
Waitress seemed to be confused. Took for ever to get a second round of drinks. Told us to come during the week for faster service.
We have been coming here for over 20 years.. this is the worse I have seen this place..
Probably come here for drinks and apps.. don't believe we will come back for dinner..
Why change something that was working.. management needs to get a grip... so sad..
Food was delicious, staff was friendly and attentive. When we asked if there were any non dairy dessert options, the chef actually created one and brought it to our table! Everything was wonderful.
A traditional supper club atmosphere in historic Mendota. The seating consists of the high back black leather with some wrap around booths and dimly lit dining room. Outdoor seating is available also. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered steak bites consisting of pieces of filet mignon. They were prepared well but were over-seasoned. The walleye was anicely portioned fillet that was very well cooked.
Unfortunately we sat for almost 15 minutes to receive service. Drinks took another 15 minutes. Dinner was served ice cold. Popover were served cold. Waitress blamed the kitchen. Manager was incredible and did Not charge us for our meals. We tipped the waitress and have full meals to reheat for for tomorrow. All this took 2 hours and 40 minutes. Very disappointing. But, the management understood.
