Prices aren't horrendous, honestly, for being a summer go-to spot in Avalon. Soft serve is creamy and not gritty, which sometimes it can be. There are plenty of toppings and cone varieties. Has a nice little sitting area on the corner, and they recently changed their napkins, which are better than the ones they had at the beginning of the summer. It is cash only.
Just keep in mind that they only have two flavors of soft serve ice cream, vanilla and chocolate. But it's very smooth, creamy and delicious. Plus there's lots of toppings to choose from. Also, the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Have only been there twice and ice cream was melting before they even served it both times. Quality was average for taste.
This is both the best ice cream on the island, but also has the best prices and the best servers!! Even when the lines seem long, they move fast and definitely worth the wait. Memories are made eating ice cream with your family out on the sidewalk
Whenever I come to the avalon freeze I am always satisfied. My personal favorite menu item has to be the hot fudge sundae. However, the milkshakes can be hit or miss. But this is definitely my favorite spot to get ice cream at the shore.
There’s not a better soft serve ice cream cone to be had at the Jersey Shore. Consistent, ice cold, ultra creamy. Everything a vanilla, chocolate, or twist cone should be. This place oozes summertime.
Haven’t even gotten anything else they offer because the classic cones are just too good.
Walked up to the outdoor walk-up window (not inside) this evening to order the family some ice cream. Attendant wouldn't take our order because we didn't have masks on. We dropped the cash on the counter and stood 6' away ready to communicate our order. Attendant said he'd "sell" us a mask and we could then place our order.
No thanks, moron. We found another ice cream shop a couple blocks away that was more customer-friendly and showed more common sense. Happy to give them my business.
don't fault this place for the douchy clientele. teenagers working here crush it, tip them well. get a freezer. split it with a friend. everything's delicious.
