Auto Tech fixed an issue with a Jeep Grand Cherokee I recently purchased from Ultimate Image. Repair was done quickly. After talking with the guys and getting good feedback from friends, I'll definitely be using Auto Tech for my future auto needs.
They helped fix my truck as the check engine light just wouldn't go off. They didn't stop till they found the problem. And they were so nice and accommodating.
I called and made an appointment because I was told at Take 5 that my vehicle had an oil leak. I took my car to Auto Tech, and was told that I didn't actually have a leak. I appreciated that he was honest, and didn't have me pay for unnecessary repairs.
Shawn Castle is the owner of this business and the work he has personally done on my 2004 Toyota Tundra has damaged the truck beyond repair. He changed out the timing belt and water pump as a maintenance item and the job lasted about 20,000 miles before the entire cooling system blew up and left me stranded on the road. It took him a week to replace the damage he did and it was hard to understand why this company did nothing to make it right. Luckily I used my American Express and was able to contest the charges for the poor quality of the work done.
The owner also checked my brakes twice stating there was nothing wrong with them. I found this difficult to believe because I could tell they were not working properly. Another mechanic immediately diagnosed the problem as rusted calipers and fixed the problem in less than an hour. It is unlikely the owner of this business ever looked at my brakes and was lying to me when he said they were fine and needed no repair. This was a dangerous lie to tell and it's lucky nobody was hurt.
Do not use this company for any reason, they do all the work for Ultimate Image Auto and you will not be treated with any priority. I waited outside for hours for the truck to be ready and then had to get a hotel room nearby because it wasn't ready at the end of the day as promised. There were other people waiting for their cars as well, they were turned away disappointed.
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL...I payed 900 dollars for 3 simple jobs. Oil change, two tires and two brakes which isn't a problem. It took them 3-4 days to complete that job and they didn't even give me a call to let me know what was going on. Get the car back and the drive shaft need to be replaced. Which was 600 dollars. It took 2 WEEKS to fix my car, and they didn't call me once to let me was going on. They acted like they didn't know. The sad part is I've been going going to them fore years, but they won't get other dime from.
The receptionist isn't very helpful over the phone and they don't return phone calls in a timely manner. I've played phone-tag with them for several days and still don't have the answers to the questions I've asked about my vehicle. In my case, their repair work is questionable as a part was put on my vehicle with zip ties.
I've been using Auto Tech for years. They are knowledgeable and fair on their price. They also stand behind their work. They stay pretty busy, so be sure to make an appointment in advance.
Auto Tech is a great business and I am very lucky to have them to address my issues that come up on my 14 year old truck. It is a pleasure working with their professional staff and they always get the problem fixed.
