Best WLM Reviews
Nice place. Friendly people. Great atmosphere. Good prices. Only had a couple of drinks and the Bavarian Pretzel but it was fantastic and definitely not something they just threw in a microwave. The edges had the right amount of crisp and the inside was nice and soft. The beer cheese that came with it was also great. Drinks came in frosted glasses and were ice cold. Will definitely be back.
We've eaten at the Pub many times prior to the new ownership and never had one bad experience. It's a beautiful place. However our first night with the new ownership has taught us that we will probably not return. A beautiful place does not excuse poor service and badly prepared food. We received our drinks and then never saw our waitress again for quite some time before she finally returned and said "are you guys just having drinks only tonight?" to which we replied that she'd never came back and taken our food order. When our food finally came, the bun on a cheese steak sandwich was rock hard and my shrimp basket was so over fried that the (3) onion rings they put on it we're stuck together and black burnt as well as the shrimp being fried into over crispy rubber. She dropped off our food and then we pretty much never saw her again until she stopped by to drop off our check. Mind you, my drink cup had set empty this whole time. Then after dropping off our check she never returned again so I walked up to the cashier's booth and asked another girl for a pen to sign our check with and was handed to highlighter to sign with that leaked green all over my hand...
We couldn't leave quick enough.
I agree with another review.. the price isn't worth the quality of the food or the service. We will be returning to YoungBloods Cafe instead from now on where the prices are very reasonable and the food is always delicious!
Extremely overpriced and wait time on food is ridiculous, took over 30 minutes for burger and fries, and was only a handful of people there, not like they was preparing a 5 course meal.
Waitstaff is mostly local kids and don't know what they're doing. If you're going for drinks only, then not bad, but I won't be wasting my money again.
Corner Cafe (Youngbloods) has far better food and service IMO
This is an awesome pub. The exterior is beautiful and the inside is also nice. They have a dining area, a bar, and a room with darts and pool table. There was one gentleman working so he was stretched but did a great job accommodating everyone. They have a large drink menu. Their food menu is small but it was delicious. They have the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. Their Bloody Mary’s were great! We had a good experience here and will be sure to visit again.
Very cute place for non planned stop. We had an excellent classic cheeseburger with pub fries, which where excellent as well. I was surprised that the price for everything was finally normal in the states.
I stopped by for dinner and was very disappointed. I’ll start with the positives. We were acknowledged quickly and didn’t wait long for the server to arrive. She was very sweet but inexperienced. There were no clean glasses for our beer. I waited forever for the food, a very cheap frozen pre-made pattie. The pickle was translucent, and the burger didn’t come with the lettuce, tomato, etc.; the blue cheese was a smear of something, and I didn’t eat it. I will not return, which is a shame because Augusta is such a quaint little town that I’ve visited repeatedly since 2006.
Good place to go if your not in a hurry it takes a while to get your food atmosphere is good waitresses could be more friendly but overall it's an ok place.
Our food was way over cooked and my Mom’s shrimp basket was completely burnt. Oh also the fact that the cooks like to vape/smoke in the kitchen. Gross.
