Best WLM Reviews

I placed a pickup order from ATX Bodega and both the service and food were great! The food was packaged very neatly. We had the elotes, rice, smoked chicken quesadilla and birria tacos with cheese. All of the dishes looked and tasted delicious! I’m glad I found this place and will be ordering again.
This was my first time eating here. The food that I ordered was soggy and didn't look appealing to the eyes. This is unacceptable and I will not order from them again. When you cook hot food that is put on a grill or a flat top. You make it easy to eat and looks is a must. I ordered the Birria Quesadilla and it was soggy. The crust of the flour shell was wet and I couldn't pick it up. Now it supposed to be crunchy and I am not happy. I would never do my customers like that. I guess they were closing up at 8:45. I didn't know what time they closed. This is still unacceptable. They rushed my order. It was good, but soggy.
I used to love food from this place but attempted to order food from them in OCTOBER, never received my order and still haven’t received a refund. I originally ordered directly from the restaurants website and scheduled the delivery ahead of time. The order never showed up. I tried calling the restaurant and got no response. Assuming it was a mistake and really wanting their BBQ, I ordered through Toast in hopes to sort it out when I could get someone on the phone. It was a Friday night, I thought they were probably just swamped. I was clearly seriously craving their food because it is GREAT food. The delivery driver arrived at the restaurant and the store was closed. No one would answer the phone for me, the driver or the delivery app and only the restaurant could cancel the order so we were all out of luck. I’ve tried to call the store during normal business hours about a dozen times, emailed their customer service email repeatedly but have never received a response. I feel scammed by what used to be my favorite restaurant. I just wanted a refund for the TWO food orders I never received and I would have been understood, but it’s been 5 months of trying to no avail.
Great food. We had the birria with cheese, carne asada, and banh mi tacos. The brisket in the birria was amazing. They gave us some on aluminum foil when we were waiting for our order. I was glad I ordered it. The taco was the perfect combination of savory, crunchy, with a touch of sweet. The carne asada was tender and flavorful. The banh mi was a surprise. A great combination of spicy, sweet, and cool from the cilantro. We'll be stopping when we're in the city.
This place is killing it with their birria! I first came here with some clients for a meeting in May. I was driving down Foster yesterday afternoon and as soon as I felt my stomach rumble I thought of stopping at ATX Bodega!
The food here is great and they have a nice patio area out back with plenty of shade. They have a large QR code to scan for the menu, which is great for saving trees.
I'll be back for more tacos soon!
I've been to ATX Bodega several times now. The staff is friendly and personable, and the food is incredibly good. My wife is a vegetarian, and they even have some options for her! But the stars of the show are the smoked meats. Everything I've tried has been stupendous; a beautiful fusion of Austin BBQ (competes with the best I've had when I spent a summer down there), Mexican, and even Asian (the Smoked Beef Bahn Mi Tacos were my favorite thing I've had so far). I highly recommend them, and I hope they remain a part of the Lincoln Square community for many years to come.
Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent.
So kind of torn. It's good but has some misses. So benefit of the doubt. Will for sure try again. Outdoor seating available. Doesnt look like inside seating is up and running. Stopped in for lunch. Wish they had a create your own taco combo so you can mix and match without having to pay the premium by ordering them individually. Had the Banh Mi, this was good. A little fatty but not bad. Would order again. Chicken Adobe was decent. El Pastor was off. Meat was eh. Creme was so so and heavy so overpowered other flavors. Salsas assuming are mass produced.
Interesting concept! A permanent “food truck” housed in a brick and mortar building. I sampled just one of the birria tacos and it was delicious! I prefer the traditional goat, but the beef and consommé were excellent. You also get a couple sauces and lime but I thought it was perfect as is. They’ve added picnic tables (with table delivery) in addition to the walk up/online options. They’ve also just added contactless payment and are expanding the menu. Definitely recommended and going back!
