Best WLM Reviews
This restaurant was super close to where we were staying and was only open certain days during the off season. Boy are we glad you took the short walk over to this restaurant. We started with Caesar Salad and croutons on the side for my gluten free hubby. We both ordered the 10oz Filet and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly!! We also ordered the AuGratin Potatoes to share and they were also excellent.
Our server Dejan was awesome and very personable. It was not super busy so we chatted it up with him quite a bit when possible be sure to ask for him!
We had an amazing view of the harbor on their heated porch on a beautiful night. For dessert hubby order the expresso gelato that also came with a coffee liquor shot as well as a shot of expresso. We had a wonderful memorable meal here.
A great spot! We came for a snack between lunch and dinner. The drinks were AMAZING especially La Rose De Paris - absolutely the best cocktail I’ve ever had. The oysters were so good we got two orders! The octopus was great as well. Our waiters recommendations for appetizers and were great. He knew what he was talking about. We sat outside right on the dock. I would highly recommend!
Bartenders were fantastic, food that came to the table was delicious. Asked to speak with the chef for a seafood allergy as it was said the normally not an issue kale salad is exposed to shell fish. The manager came out and would not do anything to accommodate the seafood allergy and vegetarian past the 1 cauliflower dish, that he iterated 3 time. The chef is a great person and is normally incredibly accommodating. Unfortunately the manager would not allow him out of the kitchen( as could be seen). But the manager certainly had enough time to check on another guest 4 times during drinks and appetizers before receiving their meal. The restaurant was less than half full, had it been busy we certainly would have understood. But to say even plain pasta could not be made seemed a bit much.
Perfect lunch spot for the whole family! This was our first time in Martha’s Vineyard and The Atlantic Restaurant was a great star. We sat outside with the tables and stools. The freshness of the dishes especially the lobster, crab cake, and fish was wonderful. The grilled octopus was prepared with attention to flavors. The fries was a hit with daughter. And you have to end it with desserts, the Atlantic cookies and milk shake is a must. We liked it so much we came here twice! Friendly staff too’
Food was good not memorable. Shisito peppers had too much cheese. The fries and bacon was good. Lobster salad was decent, too many craisins and walnuts for my taste. The steak was over seasoned.
Service was nice and mad up for the average food. The music kept jumping volumes and songs (in the middle of the songs) not sure what was happening. We were there last seating before kitchen closed so maybe that had something to do with it.
This place is fun and creates a good atmosphere with dancing music. The food has always been good in the past and I have been happy with the nice wait staff.
I'm writing a review as I cannot go here without being leery of the late night staff now. I know their job is difficult dealing with drunk, tired, or just plain difficult patrons, but I believe that if they were a bit more considerate and patient they would create a more relaxed environment where things would be less likely to go wrong. I felt the lead late night host(?) wanted to escalate what should have be a non situation.
For context: after entering the bar at about 11:30pm late to meet friends I inadvertently bumped into the back of someone who stopped while walking out the doorway to the main patio. I say, "excuse me" but my voice doesn't project and he doesn't hear me. I give a confused look back after as I realize he is working there and I guess I too expected a wave or acknowledgement that it's no big deal that I bumped into him as would be customary after a small bump that occurred.
Well, he became defensive over this and made a look of disbelief at me and was offended and asked me, "are you not going to say excuse me." . I pleaded my case and said that I did, but also that I was confused why he would be surprised considering he stopped walking in a doorway. It's totally understandable he didn't realize I was behind him.
I just projected loudly "excuse me" to end the encounter and get away from someone who looked like they were itching to kick someone out of the bar. I think that mindset is really incongruous with the location and clientele, but my opinion is only as relevant as this review.
If there is any obligation to be overly apologetic or assume the fault for a walk into each other mishap that burden should be on the staff and not the customer when a walk into each other situation inevitably occurs. When I think of a worrying bar patron the person who gets overly offended when they get bumped into is the exact kind of person that the party staff should be concerned about, not actively being.
Upon leaving the bar the bouncer's didn't catch someone else leaving with a drink in their hand. The same host(?) comes running and yelling brushing and touching me and others to get to the street and come grab the drink from her. Then the host (?) calls me out for giving him, "that same look" in the middle of the street in Edgartown and that, "I'm gonna remember you." I replied that "i'll remember you" meaning I'll no longer feel comfortable recommending this place.
My husband and I used to love this place. We’ve been here several times and even brought family and friends to dine. We’ve been wanting to come back so we decided to eat here today. Let me just say - the food and the service were awful.
We both ordered the Atlantic burgers medium well with a side of fries. We got the fries way before the burgers we ended up eating them before we got the burger. Then we got the burgers and they were bloody red. My husband and I couldn’t eat them. We were very disappointed and left hungry!
We also got the octopus with masala seasoning. My husband tried to strong will and eat it because he didn’t want to waste it but couldn’t bear it. The seasoning was awful. There is no way it was masala. It was more like adobo sauce on an over cooked octopus ????
won’t be coming back again.
Food and scenery is picture perfect! We sat outside, right near the docks, which made for a great backdrop as the sun began to set. If you're looking for COVID safe dining, this is the right place as there are a number of seating options both indoor and out. Food and cocktails menu is varied - there's something for everyone - and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
