It's crazy how this place got more bars than a jail house. Like I know people rob chicken joints...but damn it's like a prison inside. They don't want no contact with us at all. And yet we still up in there...myself included. What's that Jay-Z song...OJ...It just made me wonder how in America we really locked in communities where the people who run the business probably call us zoo animals names. None the less...I went to try the wings. Usually a place with this many bars would have excellent chicken at the least...but my fries were warm...chicken was soggy. I barely ate any of the food. No ranch or blue cheese in the bag and I really didn't fell like going back inside. The place just had bad vibes all around.
Soooo first time visitor after living down the street for years. So it’s a prison restaurant. They don’t want you to interact with them at all. Bars on top of bars on top of bars. The cashier was nice af though, love her and only met her one time. The price is decent. The food wasn’t all that. I’d probably go back, but not for wings.
So the food used to be good before. I have lived in the area since they opened and it was delicious. Now the food is mediocre. I got these wings 3 weeks ago and they were not appetizing. Very flavorless and bland. Please improve because I do miss old Atlanta Deli.
Final update: The young lady that I spoke with was very polite and also agreed that the food looked inedible. After a little back and forth about the portions of one plate being less and then my explaining to her that those were items that were put on a plate and thrown away she apologized for the inconvenience. After sometime figuring out how to issue the refund was finally able to submit a request through the credit card terminal. The financial institution said the credit should be issued in 3 to 7 days. My final thoughts are perhaps this was an off day for the cook. I have looked at other reviews and unfortunately it appears as though there are multiple off days. Perhaps I should change my bottom line from "avoid" to consume with caution. However as for our household we shall avoid moving forward.
UPDATE: After calling back and speaking to another person I was told that if I returned the uneaten food I could receive a refund.
First DO NOT USE ONLINE ORDERING!!! The store is NOT utilizing Storefront by Door Dash although it's available online. Placed order for Father's birthday at 5:50, it showed "confirmed" by the restaurant with a pick-up time 6:30. Arrived at restaurant at 6:27 and was told they are not accepting DoorDash orders and therefore my order was not ready. I was told that DoorDash would have to refund my payment. Given the fact that this meal was for a special occasion I placed the order in person for the same items. I was quoted 7-10 minutes, however it was actually closer to 20. As I awaited the order I reached out to Doordash. They were also confused as to why the restaurant was not accepting orders as their side showed the terminal for order placing online with multiple orders for delivery in the que. I was told that my order would be canceled however I would have to wait 7 to 10 days for the refund. I wish I could say this is where the negative part of this review ends unfortunately such is not the case. After finally receiving my order around 7:00 I took it to the car without checking it. This is where I made a huge mistake! Extremely salty, oily, over cooked, hard, dry and flavorless food is what I found upon arriving home. Utterly depressing to say the least. My family made due by adding food items from home to substitute inedible items, such as wings so hard my daughter complained of tooth pain after trying to bite one to the oil so thick on the "orange chicken" my father had to have an antacid. I tried my best to consume the Lo Mien, especially since it's my favorite, however the noodles were extremely dry and also had a strange flavor. Even my significant other, that we joke has a steel stomach and will eat anything, said that the flavors made him feel ill. The only thing salvageable was the broccoli, that was quite plentiful, especially since the meat was minuscule. Of the complete order totaling nearly $50 less than 1/3 of it was consumed. I called and spoke with a person at the restaurant only to be told that no refunds or replacements are issued once you leave the store. Absolutely horrible experience.
No matter how long I’m in Atlanta I have to visit this location. The food is always amazing no matter what I order. They are quick even though the food is made to order and no matter how many people are in line to order or waiting on their order the wait is never long or unreasonable. Customer service is top notch and they even offer one free refill on drinks for dine in customers.
Shrimp fried rice is not so good eww ???? but the braised wings are awesome
Wings was so small and then the taste was off.. not it at all!! Disappointed and won’t be returning
I use to eat here a long time ago but lately this place has very bad service. I tried to call in an order and was put on hold for 15 min. I thought it might have been busy because it was a Friday night. When I pulled into the parking lot a heard someone get on the phone and then hang up. I also notice it was not that busy and only about 5 customers were in the restaurant. When I came in 2 young ladies at the counter were talking and laughing. I told one of them that I was the customer on the phone that held on for 15 min. They looked at me smiled and said we were busy they were very rude. While I was setting there waiting for my meal they took 2 phone orders. I will not be coming back.
