I had a small pitza. It was just right. I found the service was very good. There are lots of tables, and lots of different food choices!
We ordered a large house house special pizza and a medium pepperoni pizza. Plus moncerella sticks.SPELLED WRONG. They charged us $58. And when we got home we had 2 plain cheese pizzas. They said they would give us $10. Towards our next order. Would I dare (NO). They have no idea what they are doing. They had great pizzas with lots of cheese now you can't find the cheese. They used to be a great pizza house. Not no more, up on the price and down on the quality. It's sad, Never going bad
Never had them before so i gave it a shot. Ordered a chicken wrap, AS soon as i walked in I went to the counter and the guy making my sub was not wearing any gloves, I swear to god the minute I made eye contact with him I saw him put my wrap down and lick his fingers. He Immediately looked back with the owner both noticed I was staring. I will never step foot in there again after that. Over priced and terrible.
This place a year ago was amazing, but today it has got a lot worse. I only buy one thing. A Roast Beef Grinder. In the past year, the grinder is half the size it used to be. I have ordered several times to make sure I wasn't wrong. Anyway, the grinders are mostly roll. There is very little vegetables in the grinder even though every time I ask for EXTRA Black Olives, and today there was basically NONE. Even the lettuce is bare minimum. I think it tastes decent but for the value it is not worth it. AHP seems now to be more about making money and skimping on ingredients than anything now. I ordered their largest grinder. The Grinder is so small, even after eating the whole thing, I am still hungry and that don't happen with others in town. Really not worth the money anymore at AHP. It is sad because Athol don't have very many places to eat and now we seem to be one less. I would recommend finding somewhere else to go. As for other reviews, they are always friendly to me but what is annoying is they trying to upsell me on their over priced drinks and other snacks. LOL is that because they know they are giving such small portions I'm gonna need some chips and snacks to fill up.
But I just think what AHP has become is ridiculous.
My family and I came here tonight during a snow storm power outage. The staff was friendly and inviting and the food was delicious. Wonderful local place to visit if you’re looking for some good, hot food!
I ordered $60 worth of food here.
Baked seafood dinner that was burnt and the worst I've ever had in my life. The scallops tasted like they were marinated in battery acid. The presentation and preparation taken was very careless, sloppy and unprofessional. This meal was $24.99.
This meal looked like it was taken out of the dumpster, then thrown in a alluminum container. I wish I could post a picture of this.
The rest of the food in my order was just okay. However, I will never come back here again.
Save your money, and by all means, do not order any on the seafood menu. The owner has no idea how to cook it. A filet of fish from McDonald's would taste better and have better presentation and preparation than Athol House Of Pizza.
Athol House of Pizza was open on Sunday, so I visited them while in Athol recently. I have not visited any Athol eatery in many a year. It was shortly after they opened for the day, so although the app was telling me my small pizza would be a 45 min wait to pick up, I walked in quite a bit early. Glad I did, pizza was just about to come out of the oven! There were no customers in there yet, but orders to go were already coming in. I learned the shop changed management a few months back. The lady at the counter was attentive and very friendly. I got to witness interaction between employees (owners?) and it was good natured & positive, giving a good impression of the atmosphere. Small half cheese half Roni pizza was great! Not greasy, reasonable amount of cheese, and I forgot to ask for cooked well (my husband's preference) but it was cooked well enough to satisfy that need while balancing my preference! Definitely will visit them again!
We have tried them in the past, and were happy with our result, but this experience knocked that out of the park! It arrived a full half hour earlier than the ETA, and was fresh, hot and delicious! Easily some of the best takeout pasta I've ever experienced. We also got subs and a burger, and everyone was incredibly pleased at how amazing the food was. Thank you so much for some great delivery right in town!
