Best WLM Reviews

I highly recommend this place. You can feel the Spanish atmosphere and you can taste typical products.
The staff is very friendly and the prices are good.
Delicious food and amazing customer service! We had traveled to Brussels in the evening and stumbled upon this little restaurant. They were fully booked but the staff managed to sort out a little table for us. Would advise to book table beforehand just to be sure they have a table for you,
and pre-order the mixed paella when doing the booking (it comes for 2+ peoples). It’s a special dish that most times they won’t be able to make it on the spot but we were lucky enough that the kitchen staff agreed to make an exception for us and are more then grateful that we got to try it. For starters we had 2 tapas, the grilled calamari and chicken wings, which were equally delicious and for our main we shared the paella witch was so flavoursome I will be dreaming about it until I have it again. The whole experience was amazing and the food was some of the tastiest we have ever had. Thank you for having us!!
Two mins walk from Brussels midi.
Shockingly-pleasant find of sangria in winter times and 1L only cost 18 eur.
Had artichoke for the first time, tastes like very fresh bamboo shoot! Who said people who dont like artichoke or champagne cannot be trusted again? :p
????
The restaurant was almost fully reserved the evening we visited but had seats as we were few. The bar takes up most of the front area with a tight couple of tables towards the kitchen. That said, the place managed to pack in quite a crowd.
As the restaurant filled up with customers and conversations start, the ambiance is lively but loud. For those looking for a quiet location, this is not the right place.
The furnishings feel home-styled and functional. Toilet was dirty and not well maintained.
While we were seated quite fast, service following that required much waiting and patience.
After ordering, our food, mostly tapas orders arrived shortly. Noticed that some of the tapas were heated up and not freshly cooked.
We tried two seafood dishes - Grilled prawns and Clams in white wine sauce. The seafood was fresh and good quality.
Taste-wise, overall a little below average. The presentation looks ok but the taste lacked authenticity.
We kept some last hopes for our desserts - vanilla ice cream topped with cream and chocolate sauce and a chocolate mousse. They were sweet but undelighting.
The bill burns a hole in the pocket.
- 1 ice tea, a quarter flask white wine, 5 tapas, 1 warm main, 2 desserts added up to 88 Euros.
From outside it is not attractive at all… the first impression doesn’t do justice to the cooking. Menu has wide offer of tapas, meat or fish. Everything tasted was good but it was not light at all! Generous portion, good price.
Kind staff.
Paella is recommended!
What a wonderful finds around where we stayed.
5 minute walk from the south train station.
Seems like a family owned business. Amazing foods and homey environment.
Fresh ingredients, not salty but savory and actually the best fries I had in Belgium in four days.
You can tell its a locals favorite by observing all customers and owner knows each other.
And that tells you alot about their foods.
Oh, also so do friendly which is the most important thing.
Only thing for us was he didn’t speak English so it had to rely alot on google translate ????
Fantastic Spanish food next to the Midi station. Unassuming outside but very cozy friendly inside. The vinegar anchovies and artichoke were great. Vastly better than the fast food/market food in the station and not much more expensive. Stop in if you are in the area or like us, have a transfer and have time for a nearby great meal.
I loved the paella and the gambas à l’ail. Also the people working there were so nice and sweet ❤️
