Most of the staff was nice and I loved them, but I did not like Dr. Hill. It was my first pregnancy and I didn’t know what to expect and I definitely chose the wrong doctor. After delivering the baby he both lied and left things out of his notes that led to some complications later on. Even when I was in labor the hospital was having a hard time getting in touch with him. He cares more about his personal time home than he does about any of his patients. If I could give no star I would. Definitely would choose a different doctor next time
I went to Dr. Hill because my previous doctor was no long delivering when I’d have my third baby.. I not only had to pay $100 EVERY VISIT for their “maternal benefits” so I “didn’t have to pay anything after I had the baby” (I still owe), I also never got an ultrasound when I went until he started sending me to the high risk after my anatomy scan.. I also had two previous csections and have large babies, I went to my 37 week appointment and was extremely swollen, my blood pressure was elevated which isn’t normal for me and I was just miserable, the nurse practitioner told me I didn’t look swollen at all and I was too early to be sent in to have my son but ended up sending me anyway because my heart rate was elevated.. I got to the hospital and was in labor which I’ve never be allowed to go into labor, they called dr. Hill and told him I was having steady contractions and they weren’t getting any better.. he said I had a UTI and to give me fluids and medications to slow them and then send me home. The medication didn’t work and contractions were getting worse, I BEGGED for them to get him to deliver me that evening because I was worried about the baby as my grandmother noticed his heart rate was dropping with my contractions. He finally agreed and delivered my son who ended up having his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and was taken straight to the nicu due to breathing issues where he stayed struggling for TWO WEEKS! Not only did I have a horrible experience then, but when I went to my 6 week check up I said I still hadn’t started my cycle so he put me on provera, even after taking that I didn’t start my cycle and he then told me I needed to lose weight to get a cycle.. I’m now almost 8 month post partum, I’ve lost weight and still NO CYCLE.. I’m returning back to my previous doctor for her to figure out what is wrong.. the only good thing about him was my csection incision is hardly noticeable.. I’m so glad I’m done having kids because that experience was extremely traumatizing! Some of the staff was wonderful and very nice to talk to, others made it very clear they didn’t want to be there!
i was going to this doctor the beginning of 2023 and ended up having a miscarriage. the hospital called dr. hill on a sunday and he refused to come and do a d&c and told me to follow up at his office the next day. i went to the office and one of the nurses said “they were checking my baby’s heartbeat” she didn’t know i had a misscarriage apparently & i’m still being charged for a d&c the doctor refused to do. could keep going on . but here’s just a part of my experience.
Staff was confused an unorganized didn’t have doctor hill but another Doctor which she was nice and very loud I waited in the lobby for two hrs but once I got in the back the doctor was fast can’t speak for the assistants though they were horrible
Lame doctor.they make you wait hourss in the lobby .the office has no respect for the patients or their family .they refuse to allow certain fathers such as myself be part of the appointments.worst place I have seen yet very unprofessional wish I could give zero stars.many ppl have children pass away or they have had a miscarriage due to his lack of response or lack of medical care .Dr.canby was one of the best in yhis area .my fiancee lost our daughter shortly after birth due to medical issues that dr.hill could have found if he did his job right
If I could give 0 stars I would. Please do yourself a favor and find a different/better OB. I tried to follow the idea that some people wrote reviews out of anger and leave out some truth, however I realized that isn't the case at all with Dr Hill and this office.
First they never did the prenatal screening on me, to figure out my blood type, any deficiencies I may have etc that would/could affect my unborn baby. Fast forward they were so late to scheduling my 20 week anatomy ultrasound that it wouldn't have happened til I was already 27wks (ended up happening earlier after I was hospitalized for 5 days). I ended up hospitalized at roughly 25wks pregnant) after severe issues that could have killed me and/or my baby. It took days and a nurse calling to get Dr Hill to put orders through to check on my baby. Dr Hill was at the hospital on different occasions while I was there and didn't come to "check" (we will use that term lightly) on me until day 4 of being hospitalized. This check up took him maybe 5 mins and he showed little to no concern for me/my baby, and it was also my first time meeting him, even though I have been a patient of his since I was 6 wks (25wks when I finally had enough) pregnant. Now, everything is a mess, I am high risk and seeing specialists, but thankfully in much better care.
This is long, but woman need to protect and advocate for themselves. Take care ladies????
I wish I didn't have to put a star to write a review BUT this office is rude & extremely unprofessional! The staff had conversations in front of me, about how & why their about to quit while doing my ultrasound! I always left annoyed by the lack of care for their patients. I never met the Dr only his staff, every time there was a reason for a no show! I had a miscarriage & even the hospital couldn't get in touch with him. They did what they could then sent me home! I'll never go back & I tell everyone don't ever go there!
Actually didn't really get much experience with Dr. hill as my ob doctor. He was an alternative Dr. when Canby was on vacation.( Almost 5 years ago) He was very caring. Now fast forward to present I am a current client here. I called office for over 1 week plus just to see if I needed to make an apt to get Birth Control prescription or if they can call a script in because I normally would get birth control ship from an online prescriber. I understand he is busy or what not but to tell me multiple times when I call they would call me back and let me know. Still waiting....... looking for a new place could have just said hey make an apt and come in instead of making think I would get an actual call back.
