Food was great thank you so much! Should really remove the $15.00 uneaten charge and allow the customers to take home their leftovers so it doesn’t go to waste.
Restaurant’s Reply: … The reason there's a $15.00 uneaten charge is so customers don't over order than what they can handle when eating all you can eat. Unfortunately some may take advantage if this rule is not set in placed. This is a common practice with all you can eat and buffets.
My response: This is an unpopular practice in Asia… Not in America ???????? the other person ordered only 2 things off the menu and unbeknownst to them, an excessive amount of rice was put into the food which resulted in them getting fuller faster and was unable to finish his last few pieces. The point you totally missed about all this was the part about being wasteful, yet you use a “common practice” trying to get more money out of the people for it. If you wish more customers to continue frequenting this spot, you need to remember what country you’re operating in. In all of my years in Alaska (and I’ve lived in Asia for several years too), you’re the first ever restaurant to apply a $15 uneaten charge here. Common practice you say? It’s actually and FACTually not especially in Alaska. You simply brought a very unpopular practice from another country and trying to normalize it here and in turn take advantage of the customers and counting on them not to notice the excessive rice ratio you apply to your sushi.
If Neo from the Matrix happened to be hungry and in Fairbanks, I would imagine that he would be here, in a corner booth. This place is accessed upstairs and it gives a Japanese Tatami room vibe. I love it when the service is so good that they know what you need before you need it, and they don't ask, they just bring it. I had a huge piping hot still sizzling portion of the tastiest Kalbi I have ever had in my life. The energy of this space is good, especially for sensitive people. If you wonder where the famous people would feel the most comfortable, this would be one of those spots.
I’m not hard to please and I love sushi so take that into account for the review. Friendly service from a nice couple that speaks some English. I thought it was really good sushi and I’d go back.
RICE!!!!! If you want a lot of rice with your sushi, this is your spot! The rice was also very dense. Some pieces did not include all ingredients. They did not give you pickled ginger. Dumplings are deep fried. Miso was delicious.
Took a friend here for his birthday. We both got the all you can eat rolls. 2 each. And that was more than enough for us. The rolls are VERY rice dense and large.
Good but definitely seemed a bit heavy on the rice. Only thing I did not like about mine was the salmon was very low quality. If I had to guess I'd say it was chum or pink salmon. Texture and taste were very odd.
Beware of the $15 if more than 3 pieces left fee. We ate more than we really wanted to with just the 2 rolls each to avoid this fee.
But all in all I'd go again. I'll just navigate the menu differently.
Good food had bulgogi kinda pricey 24.99 for beef and white rice and a small take out container with a side "salad" lettuce with four tiny stripes of carrot like come on it burger topping lettuce enough for like three or four burgers
Great food. I always have awesome cuisine and wonderful service eating here.
This place was so great! My buddies and I were looking for great sushi in Fairbanks and we found it! Reasonably priced all you can eat sushi, and it was so good!
