Friendly warning to avoid Applebee’s on Leestown Rd.! I should have left when I saw the 86 score from the health department but I wanted their famous Oriental chicken salad. The lettuce on my salad AND my mother-in-law’s salad was brown (see photos). Yuck! The manager remade the salad but didn’t offer us any discounts. The server was extremely rude about the whole thing which was completely unacceptable since I was extra kind about it. Then the rude server came to me and said the manager took the salad off the bill but, in fact, that was a total lie. He added a third salad to the bill and then removed one but we still paid for two.
I wouldn’t have written this publicly but it is the second really bad experience I’ve had at this same Applebee’s restaurant in a month. (You would think I would have learned my lesson!) A couple of weeks ago I waited forever for my well done burger and it came out half raw. They pulled the same trick that time by telling me it was taken off the bill but really only taking off the replacement food off.
Me and my husband had a kid free night (first one in a long time) and ended up regretting our restaurant choice!! We both ordered a medium steak mine with mashed potatoes and his with an up charged Mac and cheese. Both steaks were well well done (mine almost burnt) so I sent mine back and he kept his. Well his Mac and cheese was over cooked (you know the soft soggy like noodles ????????) and with his steak being over cooked it just ruined his whole meal! Then my steak came back over cooked again!!! So we asked for a manager… he comes over and says ok I’ll take care of it and sends us a bill for two drinks!! Ridiculous all around! At least our server was was nice and very apologetic we left a $20 and we will never be back!!!
Service and food were great. Music a little too loud but they turned it down when I asked them. Not too many bar and grills would do that.

The server with the Big Red Hair was absolutely terrifying, she slammed my food down and got upset with me because it was missing something. She got her manager and the manager by far did an amazing job being professional, she was kind and I told her I would pay for the meal because I never asked for the manager. It was the waitress who threw a fit and got her.
Thank you to the manager on duty at the time. Hopefully the red head gets some training on customer service or maybe she could practice as the door greeter to get some people skills for a while.

BBQ ribs were very good. Chicken and shrimp dish was also very good. Both dishes were very hot when they arrived. Salads were excellent too.
Been here about 5 times. Each time the wait to be seated (once had to wave someone down) takes is about 3+ min.
Not many customers during lunch, however it takes forever to get orders taken.
Food normally comes out incorrect or cold (kitchen fault) and if common to see the waiter (res) once for drink order amd apps, once when the food is brought and once when the check is brought.
Just not that good of a "neighborhood grill" when everyone that works there wishes they didn't
I've come to this particular location twice and both times it took about 10-15 minutes to get seated. It wasn't busy.
Some type of sports game is usually on, which is honestly fine but it seems like it's never a reasonable volume. The waiter that served us the first time was the bartender and she was fantastic. This second time the waiter that seated us ducked off before we could even get drinks ordered. He came to our table multiple times with NO intention of taking our order.
It feels like all of the men that work there just stand around and watch the game, avoid eye contact and then expect tips.
Horrible service
The summer drinks are great. Jimmy was our server he is a nice guy. Fries were way too salty even after sending them back. It was a wait for seating even though there seemed to be no reason for it. They weren't that busy and there were open clean tables.
