Best WLM Reviews
During our stay on Kauai we would try to find and support the smaller cafes and restaurants. If you are of the same mind the Anuenue Cafe is nice breakfast spot to try. It's a great pickup and go place. Seating outside the shop is limited but this is Hawaii, where you can find many other places to take your food and sit nearby. I ordered the Tube Ride French toast and it was delicious. It's a big slice of Hawaiian sweet bread with house made lemon curd and berry coulis. With it I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. All very tasty. We had a large order for the five of us but it didn't take too long even though it was super busy. We were glad we got there a little after opening.
I think this might have been my favorite breakfast on the island.
I was able to try two of their benedicts and they provided a range of great flavors from savory to sweet.
The fresh sugar cane juices helped tie everything together.
Lastly the overnight oats were soooooo good. I honestly need to see if there's a copycat recipe somewhere online where I can make this for myself.
Do not think twice about stopping in. You won't be disappointed.... It's a small joint but seating is plentiful in the plaza.
We were pretty excited for this cafe after reading all the google 5 star reviews. We are so happy to find that the service and food quality matched and even exceeded our expectations.
My wife ordered the Kalua pork fried rice while I had the surfer bowl. They were both delicious, but we both thought the surfer bowl had the balance of being tasty and nourishing - loved the freshness of the zucchini’s and bell peppers.
We also appreciated the free refill ice-tea of hibiscus and lillikoi flavors. Thank you to the kind cashier that made us aware of that!
I got the lemon berry french toast with sausage and fried eggs. It was so yummy. The French toast is light and fluffy, and the sausage was delicious.
Had the kalua pork fried rice (added side of avo) and my person had one of the omelettes. It was yum and it was prepared pretty fast.
Best French toast I have ever had! Got the tube ride French toast which was amazing. Bread was so fluffy. Lemon curd and berry jam paired so well together. Split it and it was the perfect breakfast because there’s sausage and eggs on the side too. We HAD to go back again a few days late to try the tow-in French toast which was good too. 10/10
We ate here four times for breakfast while staying at a nearby resort- it’s that good! We pretty much had everything in the menu and it’s all delicious (the French toast was a stand out). Food is prepared very quickly with fresh, high quality ingredients. Portions are generous.
Delicious breakfast option close to the resort! I had the kahlua pork rice bowl with scrambled eggs& it was perfect for my post run meal. Also treated myself to the homemade ginger beer. Not too sweet, hit the spot. It’s take away and you have to rotate through sharing picnic table space, or just take it back to your resort.
