Maybe the shop closed?
No online booking? no social media? called the number several of times they answer but no one actually speaks. I took a trip to the location name is still on the building doors tinted super black no one answered
Hands down the BEST salon in Boston!!!! The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. The stylists know exactly what they're doing and you'll leave there feeling like a new you. It's completely affordable and you're getting the best scalp treatments you'll get in your life! Literally, try it once, you'll be thanking me later.
Best Salon of 2017.! The window display is amazing it actually displays the talent that the women display. The environment on the inside is quite entertaining but yet again cozy and clean. Even the salon assistance are super nice and are very assertive to whatever your needs are. Honestly the head stylists Anique Nicole is honestly very professional and knowledgeable in everything hair.
Anique is warm, friendly and perhaps most importantly, knowledgeable about natural hair. I had my hair washed, steamed and twisted. My goal is long, healthy hair and I was counseled throughout my appointment on how to reach my goal, which I appreciate. After she finished, I wore the style almost a month and when I took it down, my hair was still soft and manageable!!!
Best salon in Boston. Ambiance, hair care, just the right vibes all around! I've been styled by both Anique and Shay.. both work wonders! Carlene does a treatment and shampoo like no other. Shareen at the front desk is an angel. Seriously, everyone in there is a joy to be around. The overall experience was 5 stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. Will I return? NO. This was hands down, the most unprofessional experince I have ever had in my life. I scheduled my appointment for Easter Sunday two weeks in advanced after speaking with the stylist/salon owner, & received an email Friday afternoon confirming my appointment. I missed church & drove over an hour to the salon, only to be told the stylist "needs you to reschedule." After expressing my disbelief, the kind receptionist relayed my message to her (apparently she was standing to my right, yet never saw fit to address me personally), & came back with the news that she was unable to stay "late" for the appointment. Quite frankly, as a new customer, I found this experience to be unacceptable. Maybe had I been given notice even an hour or two before my appointment would I be more understanding, but to wait until I am sitting in your shop (as you anticipated my arrival, hence the purpose of scheduling an appointment), not only is it unprofessional, but highly inconsiderate. Since this is the treatment/respect new clients get, I will be taking my loyalty & funds elsewhere.
Oh and the craziest part of all: My appointment was never cancelled, so ai received a lovely email asking how my appointment was! At least leaving feedback was easy. Do yourself a favor folks, & don't waste your time.
Love my stylist Shanita who can really do some locs. All the ladys take the time to make you feel comfortable in the shop and explain what you should do with your hair. Best salon in Boston and you don't wait for hours like in other shops.
When I Walked into Aniques Hair Studio it was inviting. The hairdresser who would be doing my hair Shay greeted me with lots of enthusiasm and was very sweet. The vibe in the salon was nice, they offered everyone mimosas and the music was on point. So the atmosphere was a very relaxing one and they were working fast to get everyone in and out which was a plus. The downside to my experience was the outcome of my hair which is why I am giving the salon a poor rating. I asked for a silk press. I specifically kept reiterating that I wanted a silk press to the stylist Shay. I told her I only press my hair a couple of times of year so when I do it I want it to be straight and atleast last a couple of days. This weekend was Easter weekend so I was hoping to atleast get through the weekend with my silk press. The stylist Shay told me it was a process with getting silk presses but nonetheless she would give me what I wanted. When she blow dryed my hair I knew it was not straight enough but she said she didnt want to use too much heat. Which I appreciated. So she would compensate with the the flat iron. I trusted her opinion and skill so we proceeded. Long story short. She wrapped my hair when she was finished so I didnt see the completed look. When I unwrapped my hair the next morning. It was a complete mess. And it looked like it just been blowdryed. There was not a curl or bounce at all. It was a complete frizzy mess. I had to call and leave several messages but noone returned my call. I called again for the fourth or fifth time and finally spoke with the owner to see if there was anything she could do because I didnt even make it to Easter with my style which is why I paid $90 plus tip in the first place. And long story short she said there was nothing they could do.
What a way to keep a new customer.????????????
