I visited Andresens today because a friend of mine is a server here and it’s her birthday. The food was good. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was enjoyable. A VERY nice Saturday morning breakfast experience.

The service was outstanding, the food was delicious. They were very busy when we arrived, they still got to us promptly. Only waited about 15 minutes for our order. I had the Pollock with fries and coleslaw. The slaw is a vinegar base just like my grandmother use to make, delicious..The order came with hush puppies.
A hidden gem we just recently found out about. They will definitely be seeing more of us.
We have had breakfast there also, I did not get any photos. The biscuits and gravy are amazing.
First visit here. I was told by a few people that they make some delicious fried potatoes & onions. Unfortunately we went on a Sunday and they don’t offer them on Sunday. Got there at 10:45 and was told, no more breakfast available. Not a good start being 0 for 2. I tried the fried chicken, which was average. The pie is good. My wife had the homemade dumplings which she said were excellent. Might try them again sometime, but was bummed after driving almost an hour to have breakfast with potatoes & onions and couldn’t have either one. They might want to specify those limitations on their menu and Facebook page.
Great food, service and atmosphere! Found this cafe on route back to Chicago off of Route 57. Love the old cafe decor with modern features. Bathrooms are clean!
A local gas station attendant recommended this cafe as we passed through town and asked if McDonald's had indoor seating.
Boy are we glad we took her word for it! Great, down home country breakfast that reminded me of my late mother's cooking!
Very friendly and welcoming staff for these out of towners! If we ever come back through we will definitely stop in again!
We could have even had a meet & greet with the mayor and had pie if we had more time!
Small town business at its best!
Stopped by for some Sunday specials. Chicken-n-dumplings were 10/10. Ladies were super nice, food was tasty, portions were large, pies were lovely, prices were good and bathrooms were nice and clean.
Absolutely inviting and wonderful the food tasted perfect and looks delicious very friendly and clean
If you're looking for a cheap, hole-in-the-wall spot for no-frills breakfast, this is it. The food is simple and delicious, especially the biscuits and gravy! Our server was sweet and she kept my coffee cup filled.
