I’ve been going to Alicia for 4 years and I’m addicted. I tried to find someone else when I moved to San Mateo and was brutally reminded that when you have something great you don’t let it go. My hair is a conversation piece because of Alicia and I never have to worry about spending tons of money for something that can be done well for an affordable price.
I had been looking for years a artist that understands curly hair!! I love my hair and I know if I want to keep it healthy, shiny and beautiful is important to invest in quality products. I met Alicia two years ago and since my first appointment I knew she is the person I was looking for. Very professional and helpful… now she takes care of my kids’s hair as well.
I highly recommend Amore Hair Salón.
Plus… the place is beautiful decorated and clean. In my opinion… the best in the Mission San Francisco.
Alicia the owner, was great, thoughtful and careful! She spent time with my daughter's first make-up and hair without any rush. From what I observed she makes sure she really spends time with her clients.. My daughter has very thick hair and it's very hard to manage and Alicia did a great job ???? . You will not be disappointed she's fantastic. Definitely going back!

Alicia is great, I love my hair color and cut. She gave me an album to choose my hair color and the color exactly turned out the way I wanted. The service is quick and great at a reasonable price. I’d highly recommend this salon.
Don’t get your hair cut at this place unless you want to ruin your hair!! Literally worst haircut I’ve ever had & seen in my life… I told them to cut my hair a little shorter and layer it, but they apparently had no clue about what layering meant - they cut my hair short, and make it very abruptly and terribly 2-inch shorter on the outside. The end of my hair also looks horribly coarse. Don’t come to this place because they literally don’t know how to cut hair, and the worst part is they PRETEND they know what they’re doing to your hair when they don’t.
They spent almost 4 hours on my hair to make sure I get what I wanted. I had got platinum blonde under-highlight and it looks amazing. I would definitely come back in the future.
