Had a nice breakfast here, pretty basic southern breakfast. The eggs and hashbrowns were cooked to order, the biscuits were pretty good and the gravy was pretty good. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is that the hashbrowns and gravy are just lacking slightly on the southern flavor. It’s a good place for a southern breakfast.
Both times we ordered breakfast, the food has been amazing. Bigger potions than we thought we would get. We are loving this place.
We ate breakfast here while staying overnight for the eclipse. Service was excellent, everyone is so nice! My husband and I both got omelets and they were perfectly done. I even had to take half of my meal to go because the portions were big so I could enjoy it again the next morning. A big thank you to the staff here for being so excellent.
While this isn't a mom n pop breakfast stop (more like a local chain), the food and service are really good!
Parking looks like it could be a hassle if it got pretty busy. We were able to find a spot and head in. Dining room is pretty large and it "appears" to have outdoor dining available. We were seated immediately. Drink orders taken, menu left. They appear to serve breakfast all day here. Once drinks brought to table we placed our order. Food took around 7-10 minutes to come out. I ordered the chefs special (I think) from the breakfast menu. It had a nice combination of everything and options. My Daughter got the pancakes and Hashbrowns. She liked her pancakes but enjoyed the Hashbrowns more. Said they were cooked the way she likes them. Soft and not all crispy. I also enjoyed my meal, the Hashbrowns were in fact cooked well. Nice potato flavor. The bacon was done well also. Not too crispy not too rubbery. The eggs (over medium) were done just right. The biscuit and gravy was not to my liking. Flavor was just mediocre, borderline bland. Otherwise everything else was very good. Coffee was smooth.
This was a pleasant experience for us both, and I'm sure we will be back. Give them a try!
If you haven’t tried this outstanding food yet you’re missing out. What a hidden gem of a place. Good ole food large portions., polite servers and they are just getting going. Now they didn’t waste money on new booths, but what they have work. It’s clean, the food is hot, served with care and they have a huge menu so you can surely find something you want to eat. Come give them a try.
We (family of 5) were at American Table Vincennes after the solar eclipse 4.8.24 and the service, food and the price was AWESOME! They have so many choices, breakfast all day and lunch and dinner menu and they have day specials menu. We have to come back and visit again. All the way from FL. It was recommended to us by a nice local police officer we met and it surely exceeded our expectations. If you ever visit Vincennes see for yourself!
The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the service was decent. The food left much to be desired. I ordered meatloaf, and they put gravy on it. Who does that? One of my friends ordered Cordon Bleu, and he got a plate with grilled chicken, a piece of ham, and a slice of melted cheese on top stacked. He said it didn't taste great either. I'm surprised this place is still in business, honestly.
Service was slow, took 5 minutes to just order drinks, then waited about ten more and still never received them. Not sure about food as we left. If you want fast service don't go there.
