The guy charged more than the dealer for time. Worked on it twice and didn't fix the problem. Then he said he told me something that he didn't. The guy lied, and charged us 750.00 without fixing the car. As a business owner myself, I would have made an effort to make things right. He would not....Update, Auto Works in Redding quoted less for all the work this shop did, plus actually fixed it. Even though their shop rate is 185.00 an hour. Take your care to Andy at Auto Works. He is honest, and his team is very good!

Very concerned about spending 1,200 to have ac fixed last year .. and it goes out 6 months later.. and I find my relay is hot wired.. my dad owned this car and passed away.. and it was a thought that maybe he had done that.. but there no way.. I called my dad's gf and this car was still under warranty being purchased by Ford.. I paid the car off after he had died .. I didn't think
about that at the time I took my car back to alverez showing him the hot wire...he tired to fix saying that a wire maybe shorted and so I took it to Ford and they diagnosed it being my sensor in my dash.. that day my car got fixed it took 8 hrs.. I have no clue what to think.. and to top it off I called wesenday with my concern and they were supposed to call me back and never did!
Took my SUV to them they kept it 6 days said they put it on the scope and it was my injectors and told me to take it somewhere else they didn't have the time I took it to all wheels auto repair and they put it on thier code scope said it was a coil that Alvarez had put in second one that failed never would trust them now with my suv
The injectors were inspected and they put cleaner and verified that the they were fine
I came in after I knocked my driver side mirror off. The mechanic, Scott, told me he would need to order a new part might take a week or so and was a great price. He also gave me a temporary fix that held in place during several hours of driving in high winds! I can tell just from this he is a great mechanic. The new mirror fits and works great. Best part is it didn’t take a whole week.
Great experience all over.

I took my SUV to Alverez several times to get my front end worked on They said that they did my lower arms and ball joints, on the passenger side and driver side and it was still squeaking so I took it to another shop and they said that if they did do the work that they bought the parts from a junkyard and the other mechanic said that it was very dangerous for me to drive that I was lucky that I did not get in a car accident
5 stars for Alvarez Auto Care!! I live in Redding, but it's worth the short drive to Shasta Lake City to have your car repaired. Took my boyfriend's 2000 Camry in for a oil change and discovered a power steering leak the night before. Scott had ordered the power steering hose the day before and changed the oil and performed the repair the same day. Alvarez Auto Car is family owned and operated, they treat you like extended family and their prices are competitive. Thank you Scott and Earnest!!
Absolutely wonderful! My truck gave out on the way from Washington to LA and I was stuck. Got towed over to their shop, and they went above and beyond to make sure my kids and I were on the road again the very next day. I can not even begin to express how thankful I am for all the help.
