What is great about this place is that, even though you can't drive through it, you can linger in the bridge, and it appears most of the surrounding land is public property. Getting a full picture of the bridge from the side closest to Route 104 can be tricky because of how close it is to the road. You can get a much better wide shot from the western side. Across Aline Church Road is the Mahantango Creek, and a little dam that you can safely view from the edge of the road. Parking is also relatively easy. If you don't mind the noise from the busy State Route 104, there is a surprise picnic table in the middle of the bridge where you can relax and have a bite to eat. There was some graffiti, but I've seen a lot worse.
Nice renovated covered bridge. There's a picnic bench inside you can sit at. Can't drive through.
Drove through the area on a rainy day and the river was really high. Was very cool to get to enjoy this little bit of local history while going through a beautiful section of the countryside.
Its a cool place for fishing and hanging with friends, but it looks like the local Piker kids have carved, spray-painted, or otherwise written serious profanity on the inside of the bridge????.
Not in use as intended but well maintained. Difficult to park nearby. Bridge sits perpendicular to route 104, a busy thoroughfare.
Thankfully it is still there to appreciate.
Pretty neat little spot, my daughter also enjoyed it there!
Very nice bridge, very small parking area and nice area.
Kind of a hidden bridge but beautiful area to visit if in Pa.
