Best WLM Reviews

I have been going to Dr. Strachan for more than 15 years and recommend her to everyone. She is one of the best dermatologists in the city for a reason, and it's been that way for years. If you're looking for a dermatologist, you found one!
I have been going to Dr. Strachan for many years for various matters and treatments, and she is so well versed in dermatology!!! She gets to the root of the issue and always provides the best and most targeted treatment plan for your care! I have recommended people to her in the past and will continue.
I have been coming to Dr.Strachan since I was in high school and she has really helped my acne clear up. She is knowledgeable and answers any questions you have. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this dermatology office.
I am not in the habit of writing reviews but had to write this due to my very unpleasant experience. I was at this dermatologist for my first consultation, and the receptionist was very polite and welcoming, however when Dr. Stractchan came in the room, she mumbled her name, and it went downhill from there… I have never felt so belittled in my life by a healthcare provider!! Zero bedside manner, condescending, with her answers to my questions, and impatient gave off the impression I was wasting her time, she was very unhelpful. Prescribed hydrocortisone for me without really knowing what my condition was! She didn’t even have the decency to tell me it was hydrocortisone she was prescribing until I received it at the pharmacy and I returned it! Not going back!!
Dr. Strachan is extremely skilled and is all around, top-tier. The office is run efficiently with a clear focus on courtesy and professionalism. Couldn’t ask for anything more in an experience with a medical provider.
I recently had an unsatisfactory experience during my follow-up visit at Aglow Media Dermatology with Dr. Dina Strachan. Despite scheduling a follow-up appointment for my face after receiving a mild chemical peel on March 23, 2024, today's visit was disappointing and frustrating. Durning my conversation with Dr. Strachan she came off cold and condescending. .
Upon arriving for my scheduled follow-up, I was informed in "room 3" where the surgery is conducted, that Dr. Strachan might not be able to address both my concerns in one visit. This came as a surprise, as I had specifically scheduled both appointments for the same day at the reception's suggestion during my initial visit.
Furthermore, during the appointment, I was told that my insurance might not cover both treatments, which was never communicated to me beforehand. When I offered to pay out-of-pocket for the follow-up visit for my face, I received conflicting information about the price, with the receptionist stating that only the doctor knew the cost.
Most concerning was the disrespectful behavior exhibited by Dr. Strachan when I raised my concerns. Instead of addressing the issue and offering an apology for the miscommunication, she walked away while I was speaking to her.
Overall, my experience during today's follow-up visit was characterized by poor communication, misinformation, and disrespectful behavior from both Dr. Strachan and her staff. I am deeply disappointed by this lack of professionalism and disregard for patient concerns.
I wish!! I would have looked up reviews before wasting my time! I was referred to this doctor by a new hairstylist because I have alopecia and she said this doctor could possibly help me. Soon after I made an appointment a week prior. I spoke to the staff via email and text messages and filled out all the much needed paperwork that was needed including my insurance. A few days prior I received a text message and email confirming my appointment which I did. I get to my appointment and wait for a few minutes and the office manager calls me to the desk. He told me I had to pay 250 which was my co-pay plus deductible. He said this is a new policy that started today. I was a little taken aback because nobody told me about this “deductible prior” He said because it was implemented today. I said your team new about this policy prior even if it started today you should have notified your patients. It’s bad weather today and I could have saved myself a trip! I told him that I never heard of this deductible prior and I’ve had my insurance for a few years and usually this is charged to them. He said this is to protect the office and if it comes back that the insurance pays we will refund you. I’m like so did you check my insurance or not? because now I’m confused. I asked if the doctor can still see me for now and I just pay my $50 dollar co-pay she said no. Long story short I called my insurance and they said my co-pay is only $50 and they’re not sure why that doctor would charge me $200 on top of that. It sounds like they’re doing insurance scams! DO NOT BOOK THIS DOCTOR!!!!
She also replied to this review on yelp
and didn’t speak on what my insurance said or spoke about her not telling her patients prior about this “co-pay” as stated on yelp this women only cares about money.
Reviews are fake on google go on yelp for the truth!
Update as you can see from her reply she is extremely unprofessional.
I really wanted to love this place but the doctor was cold, short and condescending. She stood with her hands in her pockets and it seemed as if she was in a rush. She also checked my hair so quickly and rough which i wasn’t a fan of. I really wanted to support this business but not anymore. She prescribed some pills and walked out abruptly. My appointment didn’t last 10 minutes. I don’t mind paying for anything, I just wanted help to fix my issue.
