Loved!! I tried potato leaf before and enjoyed it, but it was spicy. I've been looking for it ever since. This African carryout reviews were good. And I was excited to try. So, glad I did! I was happy they had the option spicy or mild. Delicious ????. Met all my expectations. Good customer service. Reasonable pricing. I'll definitely be returning.
The recession is real. I went back a month later, and prices have increased by at least $3
The great thing is food is good. So you absolutely get what you pay for.
Okra soup and pounded yam????????????????????????????????????????cassava is TOP TIER. I have been getting my cassava from there since I was a kid. LOVE IT ????????????
Very good African spot. I got Jallof Rice with beef stew and an order of cassava leaf with white rice.
The food is good but you have to add your own pepper. They don’t like adding pepper to food.
One day my sister wanted cassava leaf and fufu. I told her it’s a spot by my house and we went she got her cassava leaf and fufu and said it was delish. She started requesting I stop by before coming to her house often. One day I ordered the Peanut Butter Soup and the women who cooks it is awsome! She came out and talk to me explained to me about the different menu items and I decided I wanted peanut butter soup with chicken and she did her thing in the kitchen! My food was so good I couldn’t even tell my sister otherwise she be pissed I didn’t get her anything! Lol defiantly recommend food takes about 10mins to be ready.
I’m giving 5 stars because I haven’t found a restaurant since the Weyone lounge in 2010 that served potato leaves. I’m so excited to try them and I hope it taste just like I remember. I will be back to leave a review afterwards.
So I tried the potato leaves and I give them a 10/10 !!! I’m definitely coming back ! And the prices are reasonable!
The past few weeks the food has been horrible. The plates have gotten expensive, and I can understand that but why are you not cooking with actual meat? Lately I've been getting more bones in my stew than meat. I use to love this location, it was one of the best African food spots in Prince George's County. They have new young people working there and it seems like they don't know what they are doing or they don't care. It's sad I really use to enjoy the food. Save your money.
What I'm going to say is the food is amazing I mean well-seasoned the lady is very kind and accommodating my only complaint is they take a little bit longer than usual but it's definitely worth the wait not enough to turn me away LOL
