Love my hair but keep the roaches. The ladies did an EXCELLENT job on my hair but I was paranoid after seeing a few bugs???????????? in the establishment. Maybe invest in some pest control because consumers do not want to take bugs home with them. I know like hell I don't!
UPDATE!!!!!! I will NOT be returning to this salon. Called to price a touch up and was quoted one price over the phone. Get here and they want to argue about the quoted price. I work in a professional setting so my hair has to be neat. I opted to stay, but then the stylist decided to start my hair and then go eat!!!! This establishment already has bugs, not you want to eat and alert them to your food??? I'm good! I will NOT be returning after today. This shop came recommended and next time I will stay out my way and go to a different salon. This atmosphere, their attitude and the pricing are all a TURNOFF!

I called this location looking for someone to give me STICH braids to the back.. the owner answered and said to go to this location 105 e 51st. They stated $150 for 6 braids so I’m expected to get slayed.. cause where do 6 braids $150?? I was like okay let’s do it, I should have left then. She proceeded to tiny braids in rows to imitate stitches. I let her finished cause remember it’s trust the process. But, bitttttttt$h I should’ve left again. So when she was done I immediately said I don’t like it and what’s proper way to proceed when you don’t like your hair. Every time I asked that question they asked how was I going to pay. Once again I came in with intent to pay however they assumed they I didn’t. They also locked the door as if I was going to run and I’m way too classy for that. I don’t mind paying but compensation should have been at least attempted. These stitches and braids are amateur hour at best, my 2 year old niece could have done better. I would never come here again. I’d rather be bald.
Smell like $hit in the back
Don’t NOT come to these ppl .they’ll take your money cause they want to be paid before they braid . But will have 2 people in your head and then the one who started it left and didn’t even finish my head like are u serious . So unprofessional and I will never come again . Made her sister give me back my 25.00 dollar tip
Absolutely love this place. First time here and the ladies were sweet and fast. They made sure that my edges would not be snatched out and I appreciated that.
UPDATE:
I am not sure what the stylist put on my hair but the removal was the worst I've ever had. The base my braid was matted like I had gum in my hair. I lost so much hair that day. Beware
The shop is on busy 35th, there were guys hanging around the door which almost made me turn around. However, I move quickly and they clear the door.
The shop is small, and was messier than I preferred. The staff was nice enough, but one thing I didn't like was self advocating was a problem for the ladies, they showed extreme offensive behavior when a woman told them her parts were to big.
My experience was good got knotless braids large, was there 3 hours and the pricing at the salon is way better than most.
If you are looking for quality braids, quick service and good price. Then this the place.
I got KNOTLESS BRAIDS for $350 done by this shop and 9 of my braids came out from the ROOT when I took them down , and the manager don’t want to do anything about it do not come here
Overall my experience while being at the shop was not the best. From the roaches to the noice. My hair did come out great however. But I don't think this place is worth the headache AT ALL! I shouldn’t have to sit in fear of having to bring a roach home with me the entire appointment. I counted 5 live roaches while being there.
They can do a good job but the shop isn’t clean. Sadly there was a bug in the water to dip the hair. I give three stars because someone I know still goes to get their hair braided and they prefer this place because of the location.
