Great experience. She does a wonderful job and she does it very quickly. Great quality for the money.
i get my hair braided by them all the timee , the service is never boring i’ve always got my braids done by them . the hairstyles is neat & last for a very long time .
My first time going to the shop I felt like I didn't like the lady that was in charge attitude. She braided my hair half way through then she ask me to pay so I needed change which they didn't have. She told me my hair was to thick and her fingers was hurting, she then told me I need to tip her. I didn't even receive my money because she wanted to hold it til after my hair was done. She would take brakes through out my hair for something that should have been less then an hour. So I was there for about 3 hours. I love the work she does but they are unprofessional.
They do come off as rude the first few times you go, but once you continue getting your hair braided from them, they do get comfortable with you and also do their best work. The place is not the cleanest and could look better with some investments, sometimes Fatu braids a little tight but if you let her know, she does calm it down a bit. Honestly the customer service gets better with time. The first 2 times I went, they weren't necessarily rude but they did have a bit of an attitude. Now that I've been going for about a year and a half they do amazing work on my hair, give me some beautiful suggestions to try for my next visit and honestly I don't even have to pay as much. I think that once they get to know you a little bit they ease up a ton but I do understand the rudeness and unprofessional behaviours. But as far as they braiding goes, they are pretty amazing.
I look at it as, they are stressed, they do way more heads than they can handle and it gets tiring they all have families and Maty's little girl is beautiful but they are all struggling as far as they're living situations so I try to be as positive and uplifting as I can
So I went in today to get 6 feed in braids. For one the lady was rude, but agreed to do them. So as she was on the third braid I begin to tell her my braids are way to tight. So she keeps telling me no it’s not as if it’s her damn head. So I tell her again the rest of the braids don’t do them so tight, but she still continued to do them tight. My hair was hurting so bad before I left that I couldn’t even see clearly. (I can’t take anything for a headache because I’m pregnant) I literally had to go home and nap to relieve some pain. When I woke up the pain was 10 times worse. To the part that my scalp was bulging & you can see my hair follicles being pulled. My hair was up for 8 hours the pain was so bad & my scalp had begin to bleed I had no other choice, but to take the braids down. I will never ever let them get back in my head!!! $75 down the drain
I went there last month for some lemonade briads. Fatima was braiding my hair so tight that I was crying and telling her it's too tight! She offered me some over the counter pain medication and kept braiding. Once I got home, my head was hurting so bad that I had to sleep with ice packs on my head to numb the pain. It took about a week for the headache to go away. I finally took my hair down and a huge bold spot was exactly where the pain was the most. Fatima braided my hair so tight that my hair follicles had been pulled out and my hair may not grow back. I went back to the shop so she can see the damage she had done. Fatima did not care and wanted me to pay $180 for some box braids when I already paid $140 for her to pull my dam hair out. I'm left with damaged hair and she does not care as long she's getting paid! I'm attaching a picture in hopes that customers will STOP allowing Fatima to style any type scalp braiding!
I am looking for someone to braid my hair; I am new to the area. I just want to say thank you to those of you who have written reviews about this company and it is because of you that I will not go to this place. I have experienced this same situation within a country in Africa. This is just how "they" treat people. I had my hair done in a small village. I just have to say that prior to me getting my hair done my husband sent his mother to get the price ahead of time. When I arrived at the shop to get my hair done they started arguing about the price; b/c I was from America. What they did not know was that if they had done my hair for the price that was quoted I was going to give them 50.00 more than what my husband had originally arranged. The lady lied to my husband and said that I wanted this "fancy" updo after they finished braiding my hair. Long story short they talked their way out of extra cash and the thing about these google reviews is that the people who actually read them are those who are looking for great customer service and results.
They will keep their business struggling for customers because of their business ethics. In stead of giving good service and keeping the customers that they do have coming back.
I do understand that these women come from countries where most everyone knows how to braid but I am not going to spend money for bad service and attitude. Thank you again.
I have been coming to this braid salon for almost four years now and I love it. They always make sure I’m happy with my style before I leave their chair and their work is so neat and professional looking. I honestly believe they have the BEST prices for their styles...very affordable. I always get soooo many compliments on my hair. A plus for me with this salon is that they are always so nice to my boys when they come with me...most salons don’t allow kids.
