Good, close to great, they deserve a 4.5, but alas. Service, atmosphere, prices, portions, all great - sauce bar was amazing - the meat was a little gamey, and the fries were a little overcooked, but still, solid effort, I would come back again.
This place has some delicious authentic Mexican food. San Diego Mexican native here, and I am glad, with my recent move to Orange County, to have found a place that feels like a good ol’ taco shop. We ordered the carne asada fries, the chicken enchiladas and some rolled tacos with guac and sour cream (for good measure) and we were def happy with them all! Not to mention the salsas were also fire.
Stopped in for the first time here after living in the area for over 30 years. Had a carnitas burrito. It was big and very good. Their chips were fresh cooked. My only complaint is the guacamole in the burrito... there were giant pieces of unchopped cilantro that pulled out of the burrito in 3-4" pieces. I wish they prepped the guacamole a little better. But overall it was very good and I will probably go back.
The breakfast burritos are out of this world. You won't regret it. We live in Texas so we are used to great burritos, but the breakfast burrito at Adolfo's is something we would take back with us.
Despite that I arrived towards the end of their shift around 1:30 AM, the gentleman at the cashier patiently answered my gringo questions. And he gave me a Agua de Jamaica drink that they make in house and it’s fantastic. I sampled the Piña as well and that was delicious too. I’ll update you on the food so far so good!!!
This place offers the best homey vibe dining experience. Such a friendly place. Food, has to be hands down the best comfort Mexican food I have ever had. I love this place so much, their California Burrito is what makes me always come back. Pair it up with chips and some fresh Pico De Gallo because hands down best Pico in town.
Tried this place for the first time & loved it. Everything was good, and better then Alberto's. Prices were a tad higher though, but worth it. Will be returning
Solid burritos served here. Various choices of meats and I specifically ordered the al pastor as it's what I enjoy eating the most. Next time I'll try the carne asada and the lengua the next time I roll by for a burrito fix. Fair warning, there is no restroom here.
