My husband and I along with our 3 sons have gone to Chad many times over many years. He and his staff are friendly, and professional. He’s priced fair and confident… He knows what he’s doing. If anything goes wrong during or after the repair, Chad will do what it takes to make it right… even at his expense. We appreciate you, and everyone in your office, Chad.
When I called for an appointment the message let me know up front they were booked until the following week. Had I needed my brakes sooner I had the opportunity to call someone else which I liked knowing right away.
My call was returned and I was put in the schedule. I dropped the car off and it was ready in less than 3 hours. Chad did only what he needed to do to replace the brakes and didn’t try and sell me rotors . He said I didn’t need them.
I was surprised at how reasonable his price was and when the rear ones need replaced or should I need other service, I’ll call AA Automotive
This review is a long time coming, but I'm happy to give AA Automotive 5 stars. Chad and his team are AWESOME! As a woman, it can be challenging to find a mechanic that's trustworthy, fairly priced, and helps you make informed decisions about your vehicle's maintenance and repairs. I found AA Automotive a few years ago, and I won't go anywhere else. I recommend them to everyone!

I can't speak highly enough of Chad and his team. Like another reviewer, ex-mechanic here. I have personal experience with some of the gougers and cheats out there. Going to a mechanic is worse than going to the dentist. You just know it's going to hurt. AA is different. Chad is the only person I would send my mom to! He is the type of mechanic that I always strived to be (yet my behavior was 'discouraged' in some of the shops I worked in!). I am so glad I found this shop. I have now 3 personal experiences (3 different vehicles) with AA and have referred two others who were pleased as well. Every time, Chad has been as honest and reasonable as you could ever hope for. That explains why he is always so busy, but never too busy to do you right. Do yourself a favor. Go See Chad, Go See Chad, Go See Chad! Get it done right the first time, and sleep well knowing your issue will be resolved correctly and you didn't get ripped off.
Chad has been working on my cars and truck for longer than I can remember. He has always been honest, upfront and ethical. Literally AA Automotive is the best auto repair shop in all of Contra Costa County, if not the Bay Area. Highly recommended!
