I’ve been a fan of A&W my whole life, but only go when it’s convenient. Today I was passing by right at lunch time and decided to stop in. There was virtually no customers inside or at the drive thru.
I’m a member of the A&W Mug Club so I had a coupon and even though they didn’t couldn’t scan the code they still honored the deal which was very kind of them.
The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food turned out great, exactly as ordered.
My only disappointment was that the “made fresh daily” A&W rootbeer didn’t come from a tap of its own, and didn’t really seem like it was “made fresh,” but rather the typical bag-in-a-box style of soft drink like any others.
Overall the restaurant was clean and maintained and there was ample parking outside.
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Went through the drive-thru on March 10, 2024 at about 3:30om. Order taker/cashier was rude while taking my order. After arriving at the window, she asked me to pull forward to wait for my order, which I did. Meanwhile THREE vehicles behind me were also asked to pull over and wait. All three received their orders before me. My order was fairly small so I thought that was a bit odd. After waiting patiently for TWENTY MINUTES, I noticed there had been no cars at the window for several minutes, so I put my car in reverse and backed up to the window. Imagine my surprise to see my two drinks sitting right there, MELTING IN THE SUN. The same cashier was right there, and I barely got the out the words “I’ve been waiting 20 minutes” when she handed me the drinks and my bag of food, which had been clearly sitting there for some time (she had NOT been waiting for food to finish cooking). Then she had the sheer audacity to say “I got you” like she was doing me a favor and giving me great service! UNBELIEVABLE! And even though she had read my order back to me correctly when I placed it, it was wrong… so I have to assume she is not only incredibly rude but also incompetent. This person needs to be fired. Completely unacceptable treatment. PS: I was polite to her through the whole process so there was NO EXCUSE for her behavior.
AVOID THIS LOCATION. Clearly there is poor management here or someone like her would not be employed.
Been a long time since I ate at KFC or A&W. The food tasted great and the service was SUPER fast. Restaurant was super clean and tidy. Didn't expect much but they over delivered.
I ordered a brownie and it came straight from the freezer. It took 3 hours to thaw. Under staffed.
Portion size so small more like a kids meal also the chicken was overcooked and dry
They basically said to bad that's the way it is.
Do not go to this place.
They don't care about the customer
This store has the worst customer service!! I waited for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. The workers were just talking to each other. I felt like i was interrupting them to get help. I waited for almost 20 minutes. Then, when I finally got my order, some of it wasn't in the bag. They had to cook more chicken. I ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for my order. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Won't be back to the 90th south location!! Manager was no help either.
Poor customer service. Workers stood behind the counter chit chat with each other, ignoring customer. I had to yell out to get their attention. Also, I order extra crispy and the chicken was as dry dried as card. Probadue to the fact that there was no customers there and the fried chickens sat around for a while.
The chicken was tender & juicy. And someone delivered our food to our table.
