Marla has cut my hair for the past 25+ years. I first met her when she worked for a large corporate chain, and I gladly followed her to Touch of Hollywood. The hours are great, the service is excellent, and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!
I called to see about getting my hair cut and dyed. The stylist was honest and advised me she was not comfortable with doing platinum, which I fully respected and appreciated the honesty. I called back to see about doing a different color/style, but after the stylist (who's name was either Porcia or Marsha, I couldn't hear it the best) asked me the color of my hair, she hung up on me. I called back instantly and had to wait a minute while the person who answered the phone figured out who I was original speaking to. And I called back instantly! That was very very unprofessional. The least she could have done was say I just don't feel comfortable working with your hair or whatever the case may have been. I hadn't even sent her the picture of what my hair looked like before she hung up on me. Like I said very unprofessional.
Barb did a nice job with my hair. I am a low maintenance, no frills kind of person and wanted a haircut that didn't require a lot of upkeep. She knew just what to do and took care of it. It was clear that she has years of experience that allow her to understand exactly what a customer wants and execute it handily.
Wow... what a gem this place is! Jenny is AHHHMAZING. In addition to my hair already being thin/fine, I went in to this salon with quite a bit of damage to my hair due to a really bad reaction to some "natural" hair products. She masterfully handled the situation and had my hair looking and feeling wonderful in no time. Her experience and expertise was second only to how warm and friendly she is... as is the entire staff. This place is truly a find!
Specializes in senior ladies??? Bah! That is a load of hogwash! Take a look at my daughter's hair. Does she look like a senior lady? All ages are welcome at this hair salon and they do a wonderful job of giving you what you want!
My daughter refuses to go anywhere else and frankly, I won't take her to any other place.
Jenny is her stylist although all the stylists do a fantastic job there. They also do nails and waxing. If you are looking for a place to get your hair done or a place for a full day of beauty, then this is the place to go!
I've seen a review for a 1 star review, a couple of things 1. Always ask for prices beforehand, she was here beforehand. 2. It wasn't a Monday, it was a Friday. My grandma came to this lady for years and is Amazing!! Don't buy into the 1 star review.
Plus, I've been in a chair for hours getting my hair done by someone else and it's been an amazing time.
My wife wanted highlights, but she came home way too blonde! I asked her the cost; she said it was $120. My wife and I were floored by the expense and she was not told the price ahead of time. She was also told that Mondays are cash only. Fortunately, my wife had that amount, but certainly hadn't planned on using every dollar she had in her purse! My wife had only gone there a couple of times, looking for a new beautician - since hers had recently retired. She had not before asked for highlights; just roots colored and trims. I don't want her returning there!
I have a daughter who makes sure to challenge anyone, when I called to make the appointment to make that very clear when I got there the person I had originally made the appointment with found someone else remembering what I had said over the phone. That was a responsible move of the lady and they were both very nice and did a wonderful job will be making an appointment for my self I let you know what I think I am very picky as far as my daughter she was very happy with the outcome.
