Best WLM Reviews
BEST BROWNIE I’ve ever had in my life. I had never been here before after being a local for over 2 years. This is definitely somewhere you want to go if you are in Rolla. Pies, cheesecakes, brownies, and more. Highly recommend this place. The service leaves a little to be desired at least on my visit. The atmosphere is “dingy” or just somewhere I’d just want to get the food to go.
We finally got a chance to stop by and check out what all the buzz was about. This place DOES have a few items besides the pie, so do stop in for lunch. We sampled the chicken salad sandwich and the chicken and mushroom pot pie. Of course, we added a slice of apple pie and coconut cream pie to our meal. All of it was delicious! Stop on in and support local!
Guess what I got… a brownie!? Less than $10 buck but enough to say…huh!? This spot is pretty big with a hometown feel. The brownie came along with vanilla ice cream. Also, it was served warmed and a little gooey in the middle. The slice was hefty and could feed four friends, if you’re watching your diet. Overall, the kids said it was okay. I will try the pies on my next run.
A few months back I stopped by with a friend to try some a different dessert location in Rolla, and I thought it was okay, especially for the price. I had some peach crumb, while they had a slice of apple pie. They enjoyed their pie, but I thought both dishes tasted sort of average. However, I know it was later in the evening, so there's a possibility this was just a closing-time fluke. Besides that, the atmosphere is cute, and the staff were quite nice and considerate.
OMG sooooo good! Don’t get much better than this. I had no idea how big the spices were going to be. So I ordered two yeah it’s like 8 1/2 a pie. There’s no way so I did the packing to get a to go box but absolutely delicious but I’m going to consider that my lunch dinner and breakfast tomorrow probably. Tons of choices as you can see from the menu I took a picture of super nice staff great parking definitely if you’re in the area give it a go and a lot of people just swing in and bought a pie to go and you can buy a half tire however much you want so check it out.
Friendly service! Delicious pie! Unfortunately they were out of most of their fruit pies when we visited, but the cream pies were incredible! Pictured are fresh strawberry, coconut cream, and chocolate cream. I didn't get a picture of the Tollhouse pie, and they all disappeared quickly!
I definitely hope I pass this way again sometime to try other pies!
Had to try this place out, as you can't find many with this kind of specialty desserts. The choices were plenty big time: Apple, Apple Crumb, Peach, Peach Crumb, Strawberry/Rhubarb, Pecan, Pecan Tollhouse, Cheesecake, just so darn many to list. It's worth the 1 1/2 hour trip from St. Louis. I feel bad. I talked with the owner and didn't even ask her name. My apologies. My selection today, as I said, I will go back for sure as the only other place like her store is in Estes Park Colorado, my favorite I Need Pie. So, I feel so lucky to have found her store. I know I'm getting away from my selection today, drum roll Cherry & Raspberry whole pie and got a slice of her Boston Cream Pie to try, as I haven't found any bakery here in St.Louis that makes a great one. I tasted it when I got home, and Holy Cow is the best Boston Pie Ever... the chocolate is thick, and instead of cream, she uses homemade vanilla pudding, and the cake is tasty too. All of it together is scrumptious. Don't believe me. Take a look at the slice in my photos. Now, most people go to grocery stores and pay good money for factory made pies. I'm here to tell you, Rolla people and Travelers, you need her pies, you want her pies, lol. You get some much more from a homade pie along with flavorful bites. You're supporting a businesswoman and her kids. They were in there working with mom. If you read my reviews, you know I'm honest to the core, as people deserve real honest reviews, A Slice of Pie is fabulous people. Get out there and try it for yourself!
The Chicken Mushroom pie is Fabulous! A meal in and of itself! All you need is a light Caesar salad, this pie, and a nice large glass of ice water with lemon! SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS ‼️MY FAVORITE! Every year I order a whole pie to eat while my husband is gone deer hunting ‼️????????????
