The rib tips are awesome. The sauce is something tomatoey and isn't too sweet, not mesquite or very molassasey and I like it a lot.
With all the good reviews I was disappointed. The sides were good, slaw and potato salad great. Ribs were tough on outside like they had been in warmer too long. Had a hard crusty exterior which was like leather and not edible. I cannot believe this is the same place others raved about the ribs. Probably the worst ribs I’ve had anywhere.
Based on the review rating we decided to give it a try during our one night in town. We opted for a slab of ribs, a pound of pulled pork and the coleslaw. It was all fantastic! The ribs were tender and moist with just the right amount of sauce. The pork was finely pulled and moist with a great flavor. The coleslaw was super finely shredded with the perfect combination of creamy and sweet without being too sweet. We will be back the next time we are in town.
Okay barbeque but the okra and chicken wrap is good!
Owner is friendly but her staff isnt always friendly.
Update 1/24/24... chicken sandwich was good as usual, noticed a decrease in size (width). However, Some of my fries were cold, not room temperature but cold?
Waited and wasted my whole entire lunch break for a grilled chicken salad. No apology for wait and the place does not feel welcoming. Little food and not so reasonable prices.
If you're anywhere near West Alabama, this is the greatest restaurant if you're looking for ribs, coleslaw, and baked beans. Hands down....period. Plenty of parking.
I enjoyed the food the quality was great the ribs met my expectations my only complaint was the quantity I purchased a sandwich and a plate and they both came with the same amount my only complaint is the number of bones I received. Overall the food was great and I will definitely go again!
Best ribs I've had in Alabama. And we LOVE ribs. Always big, lean, and smoked perfectly. Their employees are always friendly and never act like they don't want to be there!
