I recently contacted A&P Automotive Center for an estimate on a coolant system flush. During the call, the representative asked how I knew I needed that service. I explained that I had previously paid for a flush at another establishment and afterwards I saw that the flush never occurred. My heater core was all clogged up and my heater wasn't blowing hot air. Unfortunately, the representative's response to my explanation was highly unprofessional and inappropriate. He stated, "No offense, but as a woman, you probably don't understand much about cars." This sexist and dismissive comment was not only offensive but also irrelevant to my inquiry and demonstrated a lack of respect towards customers.
As a longtime customer of A&P Automotive Center, I was deeply disappointed by this experience. I have personally recommended this shop to friends and family in the past, based on my previous positive experiences. However, this incident has completely changed my perspective. I will no longer be utilizing A&P Automotive Center's services and will actively discourage others from doing so. I believe it is important to highlight instances of unprofessional and discriminatory behavior within the automotive industry and hold businesses accountable for their employees' actions.
My husband took his charger in for over heating. He was quick to get the work done. Replaced the water pump and got the car working great. Prices are amazing and his customer service as well.
Apparently No star isn’t and option. 0 stars would be my preferred rating. ???????????? This garage is nuts. They had no appropriate parts for my car, not even an oil filter/ oil for an oil change. BYOP. Bring your own parts for $75 labor fee. In actuality its a $75 fee for making sure you have the right parts. When it was realized I had brought the wrong pads and rotors for my car... there was a huge argument about getting paid for labor rather than fixing what was wrong with my car. So instead of making money off of a car repair... they wanted money for putting my car in the air for 15 minutes. Good business guys, solid. ????????
I needed my water pump replaced and called a ridiculous number of mechanics in the Springs who quoted me some pretty outrageous prices for labor on an old car. I was so fortunate to have found A&P. I talked to the owner, Dave, on the phone and he quoted me a price I could afford. He also towed my car to his shop. He and his crew started working on my car right away. I had it back in two days. Dave kept correspondence with me through the whole ordeal. He explained with detail all the issues he uncovered when he was working on my car. He also fixed my flat tire and numerous other things. I was so moved by how kind and patient he was with all my car issues and working with me on the price. I can say wholeheartedly that Dave is the most honest mechanic I have ever met in my life. Dave, thank you so much for fixing my car and helping me get back to work. I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am to you and your amazing crew. You guys are truly car doctors!!
4 January 2012 I was getting a window replaced when the repairer noticed I had a crack in the top portion of the window that needed a weld. I needed to get it welded quick so I took it down to the other auto store next to his and the owner said he couldn't get it done till Monday. I was walking by when the mechanic for A&P stated he could get it done today. He was good as his word. He put it in the shop, did the weld extremely quick. In my opinion, it was also done extremely well. The price was more then acceptable also. As I was getting ready to take the vehicle, the mechanic also offered additional services that he could do if I needed them. I will be going back to this shop for additional work that I need.
Against all odds, they got the job done! I scheduled a last minute service, snowy weather slowed down my car being towed, and the parts arriving, and yet it got finished, at a good price, with 30 minutes to spare.
A friend I know works here and he always finds a way to help me out even when he's slammed with cars. Very respectful. Thank you. You know who you are;)
